Title: help with blood test results
Post by: Shambles on March 13, 2019, 07:55:26 AM
i'm 36 AMAB taking no hormones.

prolactin 451 mlU/L
TSH 0.76 mu/L
oestradiol 170 pmol/L
LH 2.6 IU/L

Asked for T, E and prog to be tested but have these plus a few others and a full blood count.

oestradoil - that's estrogen right?. Looking at the web it should be 10-40 for male and 15-350 for female. is that right?

I'm reading this as my hormones levels are in the right range if female? like im already on hrt.... but i'm not.

My docs hopeless. got "Abnormal - no action" next to oestradoil level.

Thanks

Oestradiol is just another spelling for estradiol.

The issue here is units, the European standard vs the American one.  15-350 is the value when using picograms of estradiol per milliliter of blood.  For picomoles per liter like your values the normal male ranges are about 40-150 and female ranges are something like 250-1000.

So you're a tad above natal male level for estradiol but below natal female.

EDIT: you might be intersex but I'm not sure if anyone can really definitively say without doing a karyotype test.
