Transexual* (for Transsexual)
With 29 occurences in OhioLINK, today's word has a bit of an identity crisis, since not everyone considers it to be a typo at all. According to Wikipedia: "Some individuals may prefer to spell transsexual with only one s, thus writing transexual. They will typically assert that they are attempting to divorce the word from the realm of psychiatry and medicine and place it in the realm of identity."

I've asked (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,14969.0.html) about that before.

and one 's' does all that? Blimey.
Just looking at the prevalence of subject headings in WorldCat
transsexual | 172 |
transsexualism | 2722 |
transsexuality | 31 |
transsexuals | 1908 |
- |
transexual | 11 |
transexualism | 12 |
transexuality | 3 |
transexuals | 27 |
As far as I'm concerned, single 'S' is a typo.
Maybe we should spell sex "sexx" and give it a different meaning too.

Yes, but you have to make sure you omit the first "s" and use the second "s". If you omit the second "s" and use the first one, it has an entirely different meaning that has something to do with that one sock that gets lost in the dryer every time you do laundry.

Two N's is extra special
And "Tranzsesxl" for the hip-hop crowd.
Transsexshizzle
word
I don't know but maybe we need to use "transnonsexual" since transitioning is the easiest way I've found to become celibate. ::)
Julie
Odd, I thought that is what the institution of marriage was for.

Sorry, Dennis, I think you are confusing that with transoxual...

I'm Trons-sexual. Bad computer graphics and even worse acting make me horny.
Do you come with a Wendy Carlos soundtrack?
