Hi all,
I just wondered if anyone else noticed not being able to warm up when going to bed?
I used to get into bed wrap in the duvet and wait about 5 mins and i was toastie warm, even though Spring is coming I have noticed taking 20 mins or so to warm up even with and extra duvet
Has this happened to anyone else?

I also found the internal furnace does not burn as hot after being on mtf hrt !.
Calorie intake needs to be less as well.

I thought it was just me. I have two heavy quilts on my bed.

@Carla68 Dear Carla:YES, YES, YES .... me too!!!! I think it is a combination of the HRT, weight loss and reduced calorie intake, possibly dehydration and the resultant lower blood pressure, and lower metabolism. I find that my feet and my hands get colder than they did before transitioning.
Especially living up here in the cold North in the winter season, I always have my electric blanket preheating my bed before climbing in for the night.... I many times sit in front of my propane fireplace to "toast my toes" ... and at home when I change into my night clothes, I will wear heavy wool socks and my sweatshirt and sweatpants while relaxing before turning in for the night and going to bed.
If I am really cold I have a hot water bottle that I can cuddle around my feet in bed.
Hugs and stay warm,
Danielle

Back when I was married, there were times when I'd be warm enough with just a sheet covering me, but my wife was cold with blanket & comforter too.
Thanks all, so glad not the only one
roll on the warm weather
I carry lot of fat in my legs. Which means that if I wear long pj bottoms, I always feel cold in cold weather no matter how many blanket I pile on top of me. But, if I wear those skimpy VS short shorts, I do warm up! ;D
It may be due to the change in fat distribution around your body.
