Title: Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility

I'm headed out to be visible to my community in my own small way. Are you getting out today?

It's more or less a normal Sunday for me.  Finishing up homework and doing some grocery shopping.

Same, normal quiet Sunday for me. But I'm loving scrolling thru social media and seeing all the beautiful people being visible for people like me who can't yet

I was at the theatre, helping to build a set for the next play.  I wore a pin in the trans flag colours just in case anyone was wondering.

I am pretty visible most days, so I need something like a pin or a pendant to up my visibility on special occasions.

Definitely out and visible!  I worked TDoV into my Call To Worship, and am one of the folks putting together the Trans Day of Visibility action locally (4PM, Civic Park, Walnut Creek, for those in the area.)

Wow!  Now that's a TDoV outfit!

I didn't realize it was TDoV until mid-afternoon so I did the best I could. I put on my most comfortable pair of women's leggings and went to Target with my daughter to buy makeup for the first time.

I've been lurking for a few days here but this post motivated me to go ahead and register for an account

Pooped out of going to an event at a local LGBT center, but was out and about running errands this afternoon underdressed with a tunic top and a purse.  Maybe that kind of counts.

We had a small picnic with some trans friends and a large flag at a local park. Was fun.

Thank you! I feel like it took an inordinate amount of time due to the fact that I felt completely lost, but I felt like I could be a tour guide for the makeup section by the time it was over. There was a very helpful Target employee in the vicinity but I didn't want to bother her too much.

Our event went very well.  Around 50 people turned out, and after several short speeches from trans folks and allies, we headed to the street corner to be visible to the suburban shoppers.
