Hello everyone! I haven't been on here in a while and decided to stop by, write an update and perhaps re talk to some old friends here!
Today is April 14th, in roughly 12 hours it will mark my 3rd year anniversary of my mental break down that actually made me semi de transition and go trough a long time of misery, fear and confusion. This same day in 2019 I can check a lot of marks of the good boxes. I got mail from dr brassards office last week or so wirhna package telling me what to expect for surgery. All I'm waiting for is a date for it but all other things have been done! my biggest worry about surgery was finiciaial as I would need to take off two whole months. Well my years of worrying about being able to take time off or having to quit then look for new work vanished. My boss at my new job found out that I andue tonfet surgery and asked me how long I need off, I told him a rough estimate and he said it was no issues and he'll give me the time needed as he wants me back after surgery. Given I have only had this job for two months I wouldn't have expected such an accommodating reaction! But there it is:)
Lately I have just been enjoying life and trying to be a better person each day i regularly talk to other trans people and Do my best to help guide them in a good direction to their specific needs, and it is rewarding to see many of them actually grew seeing as they just recently came out, my relationship to my GF although long distance ATM is growing and I am still set on my career after surgery!
All in all life is awesome! Love you all <3
Ashley, I am glad to hear that things are going so well for you, and that you have an accommodating boss. That is awesome!
It would have been fun for both of us to be in Montreal at the same time, but it looks like you are zooming ahead of me. @#$% Nova Scotia waiting lists. I hope you get your date soon. You've got this!
I am very happy for you. I can not believe it has been 3 years, where has the time gone.
Congratulations Ashley - that is wonderful news all round!
You are enjoying life, encouraging others, surgery is approaching and you have a decent and understanding boss who appreciates your work.
I wish you continued happiness.
Hugs
