Title: Does it look normal after the grs?
Post by: AlexUABC on April 17, 2019, 04:30:37 PM
I have always had a doubt. Is the vulva of a transsexual woman the same as that of a woman born?
because unless you are a member of the AANR (nudist organization) many say there are no differences

In the pictures I've seen on the web they look very much like a cis one. It's amazing what they can do.

It depends on how closely you look, if you know what you're looking at, and how good a job the surgeon did.

There's a lot of stories out there of post-op women having sex and their partners not realizing, so I think that's normal. Doctors often don't notice either.

Just standing there legs closed I usually can't tell. Legs spread I can usually tell, but not always. Labia spread and I think I can always tell. I've spent far too long looking at photos and have seen a number in person.

Its so funny how people think how a women vagina would look normally.

The perfect vagina don't exists, but, i wish when i get my surgery my vagina gonna be functional and flat

Yes, if all goes well it will look the same as any woman's from the outside.   Only a gynecologist will see the difference in an examination.

I think you can google 'The wall of vagina's' and you  should be able to tell the vast amount of variations that cis women possess. As for the surgery results, so much of the result has to do with your anatomy. Results depend on material available, limitations of blood supply to areas, any complications that might arise! I think you get this done because you need it done. If you have expectations of perfection for any surgery, chances are you will be disappointed to some degree. Ten years ago the surgery was not as good. In ten years it will be better. I couldn't wait. Mine is imperfect, so I fit right in with the group. I'm thankful every day for my imperfect downstairs.

Now Moni, what do you mean by imperfect (a rhetorical question only), not that I have ever seen yours. I must say that mine is perfect in every way. Could I pick her out in a line up from a dozen different ones???? Not sure, I have never really studied her. I do know that my electrologist and doctor both tell me that she looks just like all the other ones that they works on. And the perfect part is that all the bits and pieces that were there before, GONE! Now that indeed is perfect!

It looks normal to me, feels normal, it's part of me and it's like I was meant to have one....

My primary care physician complimented me after looking, she said it looked "normal" to her, other close female friends say they can't tell the difference, just by looking.

"simply beautiful" was the description my sexual health/hrt Dr told me after my first examination at 3months.

One of the nurses from my surgeons hospital said to me that after 2years of healing she is unable to tell the difference between someone born with one and a surgical one. Appearance seems to be one of the things that many surgeons get right most of the time. Some may need revisions but usually they get it right especially when you look at the natural variation in vagina's.

The perfect vagina will exist when I get mine. Perfect for me anyway.

Hi, I had GCS 11/2016. My operation was difficult as well as the healing. I went to my surgeon 13 times for granulation and part of my graft died.

An office procedure was done for clitoraplasty.

A year later I had a major revision. The scar tissue removed, urethra repositioned and the vagina was made deeper while I lost 1 inch from the vaginal canal. My clitoris was made much more covered. I still had my whole glands penis clitoris from the original operation, about 1/4 inch.

Then I had an in office procedure and a few visits for granulation. Then I was given the silver nitrate and able to treat the granulation myself.

4/3/2019 I had a major revision. With making my vagina deeper, closing off the bottom of my vagina 4 time in my life my urethra was worked on. This time my urethra is inside a slit an inch long inside my deepened vagina. I had fat removed from my thighs and injected into my labia. I think it is 2 inches now to my vaginal canal, perhaps a bit more.

My swelling is gone and I have a beautiful vagina. I have a deep vaginal canal 5 plus inches inside the vagina that is 2 plus inches deep ( I should measure) and lots of material ( majora minor) inside the vagina. My original operation I had no penile tissue to donate for minora.

I have a beautiful vagina. Dr. McGinn did a beautiful job and really has been wonderful to me. I still have some stitches and I am still healing. I can not wait to use my new vagina. :)
