Title: Breast growth on HRT
Post by: Canerfice on April 22, 2019, 03:18:37 PM
Hello, everyone. I am new to this site, actually this is my first post.

First, a little about me. I am 5'10" and weight 143 pounds. Before starting HRT my chest measurements were 34 inch band and 35.75 inch bust. I had minor gynecomastia.

I began HRT 6 days ago. I am taking Spironolactone and Estradiol daily. Since starting HRT my breasts seem to be expanding before my very eyes. I have grown by almost 3/4 of an inch. My bust size is now just shy of 36.5 inches. I am really excited with my results so far. The tingling sensation that I get in my breast have felt so surreal, a dream finally coming true.

I know results vary from person to person (as to timeframe and growth rate), and one factor that plays a role is genetics. Both my sister and mother are D+ cup size.

I was wondering how other people on this site have experienced breast growth from HRT?

I started HRT a day after you, but I haven't seen your results.  I guess I'll get them tomorrow.   ;)

I don't know what you're seeing, but I don't think it works that fast.  My understanding is that it takes a few months for noticeable changes to happen, though you may get breast buds, pain, etc. before then.

Something that could have been a factor was that I had been taking breast enhancement supplement off and on for a few years. And more recently for 4 months straight.

The only thing I've been on is Dutasteride, for the past couple of years.  Hopefully I'll soon see some real growth.

There are a lot of factors that will determine breast growth, age (When you started HRT), genetics. I have been on Injections ONE YEAR TODAY! and I'm 45'ish with about a B+ cup I wanted to be on Estrogen as long as possible before doing any augmentation.  Are you seeing a medical professional?  You will be surprised how quickly injections help over oral.

Yea, the Endocrinologist at the VA started me on oral meds until they get the dosage tailored to my needs. Then I said that I want to be swapped to injections as my research also concurs with with yours about how quickly injections help over oral.

Plus I was a nursing student once and would get the chance to use my training, lol.

My experience has also not been as dramatic as yours. At least not initially.

I started estradiol in Nov of 2018. While things got very sensitive and soar there was no noticeable growth. There was this sensation of "Bees" under the skin which was awesome and annoying as hell at the same time.
After 90 days, I started on Spiro. There was a slow ramp up to my current dose and in the last 10 weeks since starting I have gained just shy of 4" on my chest landing me as a solid 34AA. While the "bees" sensation has subsided, it has been replaced with an almost constant low grade ache and yeah I have hit myself in the chest. The only pain I can compare it to is right before I had my appendix out.

With breast growth and face changes, ymmv. Enjoy the ride on the E-train and try to remember to take pictures. If nothing else you will eventually be able to see the time lapse of your changes when the day to day are too minute to notice.

The change that caught me off guard was losing 1 1/2 shoe sizes. I have gone from a men's 9.5 to a men's 8. That puts me at a women's 9.5 wide for shoe size instead of an 11.

Similar is happening with me.  I'm currently on pills, but my endo wants me on patches or gel once my levels stabilize.

'First, a little about me. I am 5'10" and weight 143 pounds. Before starting HRT my chest measurements were 34 inch band and 35.75 inch bust. I had minor gynecomastia. '

You mentioned that you have gynecomastia.
That right there is a key difference to the usual experience with regard to breast growth.
You, like myself, have been given a certain head start because if you do indeed have true gynecomastia and not just pseudo gynecomastia, then you would already possess all the usual structures and tissue types found within a cis woman's breasts. Milk ducts and glands included.
You would have a rubbery disk shaped structure that sits underneath the areola and is much the same size too.

Men don't have this.

Their nipples have nothing that you can feel underneath them at all.
I'm 44 and have had breasts for 32 years at a reasonable B cup size.
There's enough breast tissue there already that with a decent padded bra, I can make them look like I am a D cup, and people are always really very surprised to learn that I've never been on HRT.
My nipples are always erect and very sensitive and at times will ache from cold or friction.
They've been known to bleed too.
Usually when they're really cold and something rubs against them. Ouch!

I've not started HRT yet so your post encourages me that I too may see a fast response in my breast size once I do manage to get on HRT.

Thanks for your post, and I wish you all success in your future!

OMG Me too!  I don't do that now for a living but 4 years at Wright State!  I think you will find better results with injections. Good luck!!

the cup size has no meaning without the associated bandwidth!  I am a 40 B, a 38 C, a 36 D, etc.
I started to grow breast quite a long time prior to HRT, and HRT seemed not to have accelerated my breast growth at all, in fact, not even my orchi did do any for that.  Breast tissue growth seems to be depending on ones genetics, one can see this clearly with cis teenage girls.  Some have little, others have a lot of breast growth at certain ages.

Hurting nipples is a normal thing, too.  As long as your boobs are still growing, the nipples will hurt (I am used to that for almost 6 years now). As I said before HRT may not give you a more dramatic, speedy breast growth.  You could be like I and just continue the growth speed you always had!  Every body reacts different to estrogen, and if you still have your testes, and need to suppress testosterone, you may react different again.
Don't plan or hope for anything, just see what you get an have fun on the ride!

I haven't experienced the pain levels in by breasts that you had, at least not yet. But, yesterday while laying in my bed, I hit my right breast with my phone and it really hurt. I didn't even hit it that hard. It was sore for a while.

Love the name Ricki, btw.

I just rechecked both breasts, to make sure, and I do indeed have the disk shaped structures that you mentioned. In probing my girls I may have made them a bit sore...oops, lol. I have always liked the fact that I have had a little something up top since I was about 20.

I did my Nursing studies at Charleston Southern University. I use to love practicing giving injections in the sim lab, as well as on patients on my clinical rotations.

I'm curious Kristy,  would you say that most of your growth was in the first six months,  or did you see significant changes in the last 6 months?  Similar age and on injections for six months,  but feels like I have plateaued on breast growth.  Tape says I've gained 2 inches at most... so, not quite flat as a board,  maybe flat as a board left out in the rain.  🤣
