So, short intro. Pre everything right now, but going out as Chelsea every now and then.
My mom gets me a present every year for my birthday. It was something her dad did for her, and she passed that tradition down to me and my brother.
This year I asked for something special. A shopping trip. Just Chelsea and her. Maybe a friend of mine.
My question is, what should I wear? Like what is the best clothing to wear with the mindset of trying things on?

Hi Chelsea,
I'm not writing to give you suggestions on what's best to wear, because I'm 100% not qualified to give fashion advice. But I did want to say that I think it's awesome that your mom has carried on a tradition that her dad started for her. Family traditions are very special.
Hope you have fun on your shopping trip and pick out something gorgeous!! :) :) :)

That's great that your Mum is going to take you on a shopping trip!
When I go shopping, I do pay attention to what I am wearing. I avoid wearing skinny jeans because they are too hard to get off. You don't want to waste precious shopping time trying to peel them off. I will wear a top that buttons rather than a pull-on top, because it is easier to get off without disturbing my wig. Of course, if you are trying on a pull-on top, it doesn't help much.
I'll second what KathyLauren said and I'll add slip on shoes. Depending upon your age and style, mid height on the heel.
Weight is important. If you're shopping for winter coats, wear clothes that you would wear under a heavy coat (not a tee-shirt).

I'm 33, so I'll take that into account. As for the button down top, that is something I wouldn't have thought of. Definitely good advice.

that's so sweet! I love it!
I echo what others have said, wear something relatively easy and quick to get on and off.
The worst part of changing is getting all those dang layers off and on again.
Shoes you don't have to lace are a godsend.
But at the same time you want something that has a heel or platform of a similar height to what you usually wear, it means you can see how trousers and skirts will fall with shoes on and whether anything needs to be taken up. (Oh look at me with my female socialisation lol)
When I had long hair i'd usually either tie it back or have it loose and unstyled because pulling things over your head repeatedly is gonna mess up any style you're trying to rock.
Also, you'll likely be on your feet and walking for AGES if this is a standard girly shop. So whatever shoes you do wear, make sure they're fairly comfortable, same with clothing.
I know from bitter experience shopping with my mother and sister how a "quick shopping trip" can rapidly become 4 hours of looking at dresses hahah.
Have fun though!
