Title: women's belts
Post by: coral on January 16, 2024, 12:40:25 PM
Just discovered due to weight loss, I need a belt with my favorite denim skirt.   Do women wear a belt from the opposite side from males?  It would seem that they would be similar to how female shirts button.  What is the proper way, or is there any incorrect way?

Thanks,
  Coral

Yes, traditionally the opposite way.
It would be a faux pas to wear an expensive Gucci belt backwards.
Women pay a lot of money for that label.

I have always worn them the same way.  The buckle is on the left side (as you are standing and looking straight ahead, the buckle is on your left side), then the belt is looped through that buckle that is to the left.  But I have seen some women who wear their belts the opposite way.  Maybe it does not really matter, especially with casual clothes such as jeans.
