The double win has enraged 18-time Grand Slam tennis champ Martina Navratilova
A TRANS darts player has won a women-only contest — just days after claiming a title against men.
Noa-Lynn van Leuven, 27, triumphed on Saturday in the PDC Women's Series, eight days after beating male rivals in a mixed event, where she scooped the £2,500 pot.
The double win has enraged 18-time Grand Slam tennis champ Martina Navratilova, who said: "No male bodies in women's sports please — not even in darts."
Martina, who dominated women's tennis in the Seventies and Eighties and won Wimbledon nine times, fumed on X: "Again — women get the short end of the stick. And it stinks."
Two of Van Leuven's Dutch compatriots have quit their national team in protest after Saturday's win in Wigan, Gtr Manchester.
World number 12 Anca Zijlstra announced she was stepping away "with pain in my heart".
And Aileen de Graaf, who is world number two, joined her hours later in vowing to no longer represent the Netherlands.

I can understand why a lesbian would hate someone who had been born male competing in women's sports. But would she please explain to me how someone who has completed transition to the satisfaction of the governing board would have an unfair advantage in DARTS???? They throw from ten feet away for cryin' out loud.
I am glad I have darts on my blouses and shirts is about all I have to say about darts, except to say that some are in the front and some are in the back.

The issue of a lesbian hating someone born male competing in women's sports is still a big one but it depends on the sport. But I think there needs to be a review board to be more fair and balanced.
I have mixed feelings on the subject. If a trans woman transitions as an adult, she may have some physical characteristics that give her an advantage in some sports. On the other hand, if a trans girl transitions as a child and is given puberty blockers, she will grow taller until female hormones are started. That nearly always happens at a higher age than puberty occurs in cis girls, so trans girls may be not only taller on average than cis girls but taller than they would have been without puberty blockers. Trans women might therefore have sporting advantages whether or not they went through male puberty.
Perhaps the day will come when trans girls are given female hormones at the same age that average cis girls go through puberty. That would make the playing fields more even. In any case, trans girls probably don't want to be taller than most women.
Incidentally, I think that research should be done to find out whether children given puberty blockers become more intelligent than their peers, on average. Blocking puberty might also cause the brain to continue growing. The results could have great significance for future societies. In the Ottoman and Chinese empires, eunuchs were distinguished not only for their tallness but for their administrative acumen. In Turkey, the Chief Black Eunuch was almost as powerful as the Sultan and in China, eunuchs even became generals and admirals.

That is interesting. I knew that eunuchs were used as guards to protect harems, and I wondered if being around women in a non-sexual environment had any effect on them.
Martina is being paid big money by the IWF to hate trans people. Just like Gaines. Being a professional trans hater is VERY lucrative right now.

People who want to be outraged at trans stuff will be outraged at trans stuff. Just let them get hernias and stomach ulcers because they just want to hate on people. It's kind of pathetic.

Darts actually involves a tiny amount of athleticism, you have to toss a small object. What's even crazier is the trans ban in chess. There's a sport with absolutely no athleticism involved.
The only slight advantage that average trans women might have in darts is height - gravity is slightly in their favour.
I notice that Martina is not above misusing data. While arguing against allowing trans women into women's sports, or even allowing us to be called women, on the web page

" A man's punch is 162 percent stronger than a woman's."
That is irrelevant. Trans women are not men and during transition, typically lose a vast amount of physical strength. Martina, on the other hand, gave herself an advantage over other cis women by building a physique so muscular that most men must have envied her.

It is as though cisgender women are afraid that they might really be inferior to men, even intellectually. If there is a way to combat the phobia against trans women, it might be to combat low self-esteem among women, both cisgender and transgender.

I don't think that's really it. My experience with USA Boxing showed me that it's really about protecting a brand image and keeping undesirable people out of their sport.
