What's your favorite type of cake?

If your kind of cake has icing or frosting on it, what kind is it (such as one of the buttercreams)?

It used to be Devil's Food. But while stationed in Germany, (not far from the Black Forest), my mother-in-law made me a birthday cake. Schwarzwald Kirshe Torte (Black Forest Cherry Cake. I fell in love.

I like cupcakes. Little, so fewer calories.  Well, it depends on how many you eat and what is in there too.

This is one of my favorites that I make when I entertain friends for dinner at my home.

I heard that an excellent fruitcake is worthy of a try.

Not the inexpensive ones found in grocery stores, just the really good ones.

I made a Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
I love to bake but I am very careful how much I keep around in my house so I usually share with my friends and business clients.

When I bake cookies, I often share them too.

In addition, I do make specific efforts to provide cookies or brownies, etc. to friends that come over to help, going out of their way with kindness to assist me.  It is just a thoughtful way to show my appreciation. 

I ask them over time what desserts and foods they like and I remember.  Then I am more likely to provide them with something they want to eat.  However, I am not a great cook, so they are at their peril consuming it! 

I can see that Danielle is a master bakery cook!

Fruitcake. I meet lots of them. They make me smile, or fear for my life. Or anything in-between. They're never boring. ;D
