Hi everybody I knew here, I transitioned 25 years ago and have been a bit out of touch with the community.
Today I tried to contact Dr Richard Curtis for a follow-up appointment which I do every 10 years and I noticed that he is no longer in business?
Just wondered who is the go to person now in the UK/London, who took over?

When one gets on with life, life passes you by. I changed my life around 35 years, my old friends I left behind and I lived my life out in the suburbs until 2010 when I came across Susan's, I got to know about members that were here. After 2 years I left and I did not come back until recently and I noticed there was nobody here that I knew before and I guess they moved on like I had done. When I needed to contact my past doctors, they also have moved on and recently a couple of doctors I had been seeing also moved on.
So as Karen mentioned the Web has mentioned that Dr Curtis has moved on, if you do a google search for "**DESPERATE PLEA** Anyone who has transitioned under Dr. Richard Curtis of Transhealth". The first link and first reply gives a response with more detail. The second link leads to a copy of his
resignation letter. (https://imgur.com/a/25Rpx)
The following link
Doctors and psychologists specialising in gender dysphoria (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/gender-recognition-certificate-list-of-medical-practitioners-in-gender-dysphoria/doctors-and-psychologists-specialising-in-gender-dysphoria) will give you a list of doctors specialising gender dysphoria and a list of doctors who are not registered and Dr Richard Curtis is listed as one who is not registered.
It would be interesting to know why you would like a follow up. After I changed my life around, I never saw my surgeon or psychiatrists ever again. I do like to have a long time doctor that knows about my medical condition and can treat me accordingly. Just recently I have told a couple of doctors about my condition and then they have left abruptly. Which is annoying to say the least as even at the best of times I do not reveal my condition unless its absolutely necessary and even then I will think twice about doing so.
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums, threads and especially the Introduction Forum. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.
In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.
Take care and all the best for the future.
