Title: Bra fitting and breast forms
Post by: TanyaG on September 19, 2024, 07:23:18 AM
Can anyone tell me where the most appropriate place would be to post some help text (based on several decades of my accumulated mistakes!) about bra fitting and breast forms? This will be most relevant to members who crossdress or who are pre-surgery TS. It is something I wish I could have read when I was starting out, so I hope it will make life simpler for others.

Hi Tanya,

I don't have an answer for you, I'm merely a CD that drops by to say hi to people once and awhile.  So hi.  Anyway I suspect you have some important knowledge to share and I hope someone directs you to the proper forum.  As a CD I have interest in your field of knowledge but, for various reasons, would not be someone who would actually use it.  (My one venture into Breast Forms was homemade "small beans in pantyhose legs, formed and tied and slipped into a bra.  It worked! But I think you have much better suggestions.)

I do wander over to the "transgender" forum occasionally and I suspect that they would have more use of what you have to offer.

  Anyway, Best Wishes.  Carolina

Did there used to be (or is there still) a wiki here? I found some references to it from several years back and a link to a page, but that doesn't work anymore. Perhaps the reason no-one apart from you has been kind and made any suggestions is that there isn't anywhere?

Wikis are a pain because they have to be kept updated, but they can be so useful.

Wikis are a pain because they have to be kept updated, but they can be so useful.

After the New Year's Site Crash, a lot of things were lost and malfunctioned. Our staff is working in the background to re-establish links and features and make improvements. As you can imagine, that is a LOT of work, so progress is slow.

In the meantime, using posts like this is very helpful. Maybe more so than a Wiki because new members can find the information more easily.

Thank you - I wasted so much money when I was starting out because there wasn't anyone to ask that I hope this helps people who find themselves in the same situation. If it works for everyone posting these guides in the how-to section, then I'll make a point of writing some more.

Definitely! That's why it's here.  :)

Hi Tanya

Yes there was a Wiki and it was extensive.  However as Lori said the crash broke Susan's and the Wiki was one part that has not come back on line yet.

Best Wishes Always
