I noticed that east of the Mississippi River there is a lot of bad weather because of the hurricane near the Florida panhandle. Schools in Louisville, KY are already closed for Friday because of that far reaching hurricane. That is a town nowhere close to Florida.
I hope this is not a storm where lives are lost. I think there will be some huge storm surges for water which means flooding. Plus high winds, and lots and lots of rain. The property damage may be immense. It is a fast moving storm. I expect there will be a lot of power outages and stranded people, water damaged vehicles, and many closed roads.
Please be careful if you are anywhere near this storm, Hurricane Helene.

Apparently there were many homes flooded, lots of trees down, many without power, cars submerged, roads closed, and the usual knuckleheads that could not resist going out to see the impacts of the storm, ignoring public safety warnings to not travel unless absolutely necessary.
Those be careful out there in the us
Over 190 have died from Hurricane Helene and its aftermath.
Property damage has been extensive. The cleanup needs are massive.
The death toll will rise as many communities and rural areas still need to be helped.

We need more help for many of those impacted by Hurricane Helene and its remnants. Lives have been upended for the survivors, many lives have been lost.
Now there is Hurricane Milton to deal with. It is an extremely powerful hurricane and water damage by itself may be severe.
I hope the people who would be in real danger evacuate in time. There are a lot of lives that could be lost.
Chrissy
People have already been killed because of this storm.
Over a million customers with no electrical power in Florida.
It is a tragedy that so many in North Carolina have not received enough help yet.
It is still a mess of a situation.
Plus there are a lot of people in need in Florida after the two hurricanes.
