It came to me the other day that I have no specific recollections of puberty as a boy.

It was pretty uneventful for me too. I don't remember reacting in horror to the changes, as I guess they weren't all that dramatic. Sparse beard, but it happened sooo gradually. No muscles really. No body hair really either. My voice broke, darn it, lol. But that was about as eventful as it got physically.

The nasty thing, that's been discussed on other threads too, was I constantly felt I was about to die. I just never, ever believed I'd live to see adulthood.

I pretty much remember everything.  Primarily I detested the changes to my body.  Especially the hair!

What etched it into my mind was the puberty of all the other boys around me.  That's when the alpha male competition started.  I never attempted to participate and as a result I was "queer" and the first one to be taunted or beaten up.

I could have done with out that.

puberty was slow for me, i developed gynecomastia at the onset of puberty. I reached an a cup but i started to put on weight and a lot of it went to my chest. I took a lot of crap for that in school, guys would try and hit me in the chest in the hall or just grab and twist, damn that was painful.

my voice eventually broke but i didn't get any facial hair until i was 19 - 20. I still can't grow a beard and my 5 oclock shadow usually happens after about 5 days without shaving. i'm 24 now.

i can relate to how kate felt about constantly feeling i was going to die. I didn't think i'd ever make it out of my teens.

Puberty must have happened, but I can't recall any of it.

I don't remember anything about my puberty, besides that I was afraid I would get made fun of in 9th grade because we had to take a swim class and I didn't have any hair under my arms yet :P

Heh, I remember feeling miserable and being stoned a lot but other than that, well, I've laid those memories to rest and really don't see any reason to disinter them.

I was always a big kid. I was strong but my muscles didn't look like guys muscles, not defined. I had big hips and so I never got that V shape. I looked like some of the FtoM. I really never had any body hair until I was in my 30's and when I reached my 40's just started growing some back hair. As far as my beard goes. I shave once or twice a week until I reached 30 then I would shave more, but really didn't need to as it couldn't be seen. I remember once or twice trying to grow a moustache. What a joke that was, looked like I had a dirty upper lip. I was born with a big chest as like some others in my family even some of the women. I had big shoulders, not from working out just born with them. My voice never really changed that much. I was always nasal sounding as I had allergies and sinus problems. Still do.
