Hello again, it's Sophia from Wyoming. I know it's been several years but I'm FINALLY "free" or safely on the other side of transition. All surgeries are now 100% complete. I'm 1 year and a couple months post OP bottom surgery, which was the final surgical intervention.
Life has been an interesting assembly of experiences. Many of you know I live in a deeply RED, conservative state where LBGTQIA+ people are generally not welcome. I've had absolutely ZERO problems living in a small town in Northern Wyoming. Not one instance of hatred or feeling uncomfortable, ever.
So what have I been doing the last 3 years? Well, aside from transition related surgeries, I've been simply living my best life!
I still operate a business. Still own the same house I have lived in the last 7 years.
I decided, long ago, once transition was "done" I'd likely depart and disconnect from anything 'trans' related. I wanted to simply live a quiet life as a woman and that's exactly what I've done. I owe my success to the fact I don't draw attention to myself and no one asks any questions; besides people I knew during my previous life of course.
I think about people from this forum from time to time, especially those who helped me during the initial stages of my journey. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for being kind and helping me navigate this incredibly difficult period of life.
I wish everyone here the same success I've been fortunate to experience.
Much love and happiness to you all.
Sophia
Welcome back Sophia!
Sounds like you are doing just fine. Good to hear!

Hello, Sophia!
Welcome back to Susan's Place. And greetings from across the border over in Rapid City, SD.
It is always a pleasure to see returning members.
As you may know, Susan's Place experienced a site crash back on New Year's Day. A lot of accounts and posts were lost. The Staff is working behind the scenes to keep things running and restore things that got broken. The site has changed some, as well as some of the policies. I'll drop some links here so you can refresh your memory and see what has changed.
Welcome back!

Your resilience and determination are inspiring. Welcome back, Sophia!
Hello SophiaMy name is
Sarah B and I would also like to formally, Welcome you Back to Susan's Place!
I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you back as well.
I'm sorry I did not great you sooner, I must have been snowed under. I know it is such a wonderful feeling living ones life as they are truly meant to be. I definitely know that feeling, even after nearly 36 years of being me.
I have never been involved with the community (except Susan's) and after my surgery I have just lived my life without anyone knowing about my past, except family of course. Susan's has provided information to others that I never had when I changed my life around.
I'm always interested in learning something new about previous members, maybe a summary of what you have done to achieve the happiness that you now have, would be nice to read about.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Once again, Welcome Back to Susan's Place!Best Wishes AlwaysSarah BGlobal Moderator@Lori Dee @Northern Star Girl @Sophiaprincess2019

Hello back after a Looooooong absence myself. You and I started transition around the same time (within a week or 2) and I always felt like you were a close sister. We shared so much in common from love of aviation to many other things. I am very glad things worked out for you and you have found happiness. I was always impressed how you went for it and never looked back. I get wanting to turn the page and start your new chapter in your life story as the woman you have become, not the person who went through a transition. I wish you all the love and happiness in your life, and I understand you may not be back here for a long time if ever now that you have achieved your goal. I want you to know you helped me a lot too during the time I was finding myself too.
For me it was a bit different. I was confused and a bit less on the transgender scale but would have never known until I tried. I was on HRT for about 2 years when I was having some problems with the medical part of it. My level of gender dysphoria was not as severe as many, and I was able to live ok in either world as a more feminine man or as a woman and the feminine man was easier for me to keep the life I had built. Of course the world turned upside down with Covid around that time, my YMCA shut down so my health degraded a bit more. I am sorry the site lost many of our posts around that time, many were like a diary of what you and I were both going through at the time. I stopped taking my HRT, and many of the feminine attributes changed back. Gained a bit of belly, lost some hips and bottom. I kept the boobs although they did shrink a lot. I will keep them, I earned them and lots of guys have gynecomastia. They are a reminder to myself that I am both genders living inside one person.
Anyway, thanks for being there for me when I needed someone to help me make it through the difficult time I was going through at the time. I will always think of you as the sister I had during that time that I could confide in when I didn't know how anyone else would react. I rarely come here any more because I have made peace with myself too. I wish you all the love and happiness in your life. I'm sure I will check back in here on rare occasions. Take care and enjoy your normal life as the woman you have become. You certainly earned it.
Hey, Sophia! So glad you're living your quiet, happy life.
Hello JenniferMy name is
Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you back Susan's Place!
It's so heartwarming to read your posts and see the journey you've been on. You've shown such thoughtfulness and strength in finding peace with yourself and it's wonderful that you've embraced both parts of your identity in a way that works for you.
Are you still seeing a therapist to help you with any reflections or changes? Have you thought about revisiting HRT, or are you comfortable where you are now physically and emotionally? I'm glad you've found a way to honour your journey and the connections you've made along the way.
Your presence and your recent login is good to see as I am always glad when I see returning members. You may be aware that the Susan's Place site experienced an unfortunate crash on January 1st this year and much data was lost including member accounts, postings and private messaging to say the least.
