Title: How Does One Not Get Plucked Chicken Legs?
Post by: Gertrude on October 14, 2024, 12:39:48 PM
How Does One Not Get Plucked Chicken Legs? Seems after I shave, my legs look like a plucked chicken. I am rather pale on areas not in the sun and I don't tan much to begin with.

I have the same thing. I think that's called Keratosis Pilaris. I don't have it that bad but I think it's normal to some extent.
Do other people notice that when you shave?

Only way I know of is to win the genetic lottery. One of my daughters and I both have this condition, and she blames it on me.

It's not that bad, but noticeable.

I don't recall my mom or sisters having it(they had a different father), so it must be from my father's side.

I don't go bare legged much outside the house. No one mentions it when I am. I notice it though. It's not a big deal. I just thought it funny...

Tria home laser may be a solution. It worked wonderfully for me about 15 years ago, as I stopped shaving or plucking afterward.

Then I won the lottery the other way.  I never had that issue.  Even before HRT my leg (and arm hair) hair was more of a down type hair, very light color and not that much.  HRT has essentially stopped all that down hair.
