Title: Been there for a niece of mine
Post by: NikkiM on November 30, 2024, 03:10:02 PM
Been there for a niece of mine and she is glad I am there for support. My niece Vanessa has been on the HRT since April and it was a couple months ago she started living and dressing as female. My oldest brother's daughter and she is 23, he is there for support as well seeing a much happier daughter that came out. He noticed things change with her in late February not happy at all and she finally came out in March. Luckily she came to me for advice before she came out knowing I was in her situation. Her transition is going well and I have been helping her through it all. Vanessa has decided not to have the GRS. She is scheduled for the FFS, trachea shave and breast augmentation in February of next year. My oldest brother is going to be there for her on that day. Vanessa also has a supportive boyfriend and they started dating 5 weeks ago. She told him after the first date and he took it well. Said he loves her no matter what to her. I have met him and he is a super nice guy that treats her right.

Sounds like she has a good auntie and a good support network. Which is awesome. <3

Yes she does and dad loves her as a happy daughter that replaced an unhappy son now. Good thing is my oldest brother loves me as a sister

You don't change who you are. Only how you are. The receptive people in the world get this. I am happy for you, Nikki *hugs*

Plus I took her out the next day after she started living and dressing as female. Bought her a pair of her first pair of 4 inch heels and still has them. Saw she was ready for them having mainly 2 inch and 3 inch heels moving up. I told Vanessa that dating can be hard at times and she got lucky when meeting her boyfriend for the first time. He sees her as a woman

I doubt that I would ever feel comfortable or walk safely wearing high heels but some women do look nice wearing them and apparently have mastered the skills to walk safely and naturally in them.  Good for them!

I really want to look shorter and not taller.
