I had one for my evening meal today. I thought it might be interesting to find out what people like to have on or in their baked potato.
Butter and sour cream may be two popular items. But there are many more. . .
What do you like to have on or in your baked potato?
It must be loaded.
Butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, and chives.
Been a while since I had a loaded potato. I usually have that with a steak and the only steak I will eat is filet mignon, medium rare.
Now I want to head to the steakhouse.

Did you go to a steakhouse?

Nope. It was almost midnight, and it was 20 degrees with snow and ice on the ground. I ate some Ritz crackers instead. :(

Those crackers can be tasty. Hard to eat just a few.
I like on the potato butter, sour cream, chives are okay, bacon bits are okay too.
Sometimes a little bit of salt too. I try to use salt sparingly.
Oh, I would add cheese to the baked potatoes, especially so if it was a twice baked potato.
My favourite topping for a jacket potato is tuna and sweetcorn mixed with mayo. Super yummy. With shredded lettuce and onion.
Followed closely by chilli con carne.
Oddly I don't really like cheese on them. Which is probably heresy lol. But the potato has to be done right. Nice and big, with a crispy skin that you can eat after you're done.
I may try to grow potatoes. I have grown sweet potatoes, they turned out fine.

Do you like sweet potatoes? I tried them once, and just no... the clue is in the name. They're way too sweet. They were fries and just no. Why... just why?

Why? Because they taste good to me. I do not eat that many except during the holidays or as fries.
Try yams.

Have done. I'll pass.
You girls can keep your sweet teeth. I'll stick to my vampire fangs. <3

Okay, you want less sweet. Try Taro. The taro chips are not bad. Not that great either.
You do not need the sweet stuff because you are likely sweet enough as you are, even if you have fangs. No cavities at the dentist with just fangs and no sweet tooth too. LOL

You made me smile, Chrissy. Thank you. <3 I would argue but... heh, I'm kind of blushing too much. :P
Never heard of Taro, I will look into it. Will likely be super hard to get in the UK because everything is lol.

THIS sounds very interesting. I will have to try that!

It's properly nice, Lori. And even though it isn't... with the mayo and stuff... it feels healthy, lol. :D Has to be good tuna though. Ideally a tuna steak, finely sliced. Not that stuff out of tins.
