Title: Do you like fried Chicken?
Post by: ChrissyRyan on January 27, 2025, 05:22:20 PM
Do you like fried Chicken?

Only if it is hot, or hot or cold?

I like the original recipe broasted chicken at KFC.  It is the only variety of chicken they make that should still be broasted.  I have never broasted any food myself but it can make chicken taste really good.

Sometimes I see gas stations that have signs that say they sell broasted chicken.
I almost never buy any there but when I have, it was usually pretty good.  But not after it has been under the heat lamp too long and is past its prime.

I like fried chicken. I prefer KFC Original (not crispy) chicken.

When I get it, I order a bucket of 12 pieces. What I don't eat goes in the fridge for later. I enjoy it cold too. Sometimes I will debone it and make chicken salad with it. Yummy!

Some people eat chicken, others shy away.  Maybe they are chicken!

I wonder if there is a chicken allergy.  There likely is because there are a many things some people are allergic to; but, a chicken allergy is probably not common.

Fun fact! I last ate chicken 🍗 in 1985!

I've been a strict vegetarian since 2/1/1986.

I could murder a steamed broccoli 🥦 though.

Sometimes I am on a vegetarian diet.

But I miss the non-veggie food after a while.

Like a savory bone-in ribeye steak!

I do love broccoli, provided it is cooked and soft.

Asparagus is good.  As long as it is more soft than hard.

It goes well with chicken!

No, not at all. I find the coating they put on it positively repugnant. The only time I had KFC, it made me nauseous.

Give me a good roast chicken, with sage and onion stuffing, and a nice thick gravy any day.

That kind of chicken sounds really good.

Asparagus is really, really nice. I was only introduced to that recently. I think there needs to be a degree of crunch. But yeah, it's something I never really bothered with before but is really yummy when cooked right.

Hi ChrissyRyan!

I totally get what you're saying. Going vegetarian was only hard for the first 10 years. After that first decade, it becomes habit. 🤪

Fried chicken can be good to eat.

The other ways that chicken can be cooked can also be good.

Miharu, I love you, but that sounds like actual torture, LOL. My best friend is vegan. And she's introduced me to a lot of meat free products. Some of them I like. Some of them actually try to taste good and not just be "because meat"... but I don't think there could ever be a world in which I would only live on it. ;D

Hi Sephirah. Thank you for the love! 💕

What can I say? I'm American. Self torture is our jam.

(Hey America! Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?)

Love!
