Do you like eating mushy peas?
YES! omg yes. As a Brit they are like the law.
With some mint, they are to die for!
Don't let the overtly green "radioactive barrel glow" fool you. They are so so so nice.
You cannot have authentic British fish 'n chips without mushy peas.

Wikipedia has the answers :D

The thing is, you can also get marrowfat peas in the UK. Which a lot of people like... but they're un-mushy. They're just heretical.
Mushy peas, like proper mushy peas, are just the best way to eat peas. YUM!
Pie and peas is also massive comfort food. Only in the North though, in the south they have this goo made with parsley and probably some kind of eel. Seems very icky.
This makes me giggle:

I do prefer caned peas over frozen peas. Don't think I've ever had mushy peas but they do sounds good.
Try them Chrissy but you do need a side of fish and chips to go with them!!
Love them being a Lancastrian. Especially with fish and chips.
Not really. I prefer using frozen or from my garden is the best.
