Title: Provincetown, MA Family Week 2025 and other LGBTQ+ events
Post by: ChrissyRyan on March 01, 2025, 10:26:05 AM
FYI:

Provincetown, MA Family Week:  July 26 - August 2, 2025

For more information, see:  https://www.ptownfamilyweek.com/

It bills itself as the largest annual gathering of LGBTQ+ families in the world.

I am not officially involved with any Provincetown event.  Information is being passed along because some readers may be interested.

I see they changed the name of FanFair (Fantasia Fair) to Trans Week.

Speaking of Name changes I just googled and saw they changes the name of the organization that holds "First Event"

It's put on by the TCNE.. Who's name for many years was "Tiffany Club Of New England"... They changed it to "Trans Club of New England"

I did go to Fantasia Fair (now renamed  the more politically correct Trans Week) once before I went full time in 1996 at the suggestion of my therapist. It was not my cup of tea and I never went again

Not sure if these names will be familiar familiar to  people these days... There were a lot self identified crossdressers, TSes and a lot in-between. (Different times)

Riki Anne Wilchins, Dallas Denny, Virginia Prince , Nancy Nangeroni, Alison Laing, Ari (Ariadne) Kane, Mariette Pathy Allen (Cis photographer who concentrated on T*s), Michael (Miqqi) Gilbert and a bunch of other either well known in or to the community at the time.

I stayed at the same inn as Virginia Prince who I heard telling the women who ran the Inn there was no such thing as TSes...
