Title: The power of makeup
Post by: Alana1990 on April 09, 2025, 01:18:34 PM
I did my makeup today when I was getting ready for work. A few swipes of mascara, highlighter on my eyelids, eyebrow gel, and nude lipstick. I got so pumped after doing my makeup I feel like I could take on the world. It's crazy how good makeup can make you feel. 🤩

@Alana1990
Dear Alana:
Thank you for sharing and posting your "good" report.

Our appearance, hair, nails, makeup, shoes, and clothing (including our underclothes that are not generally visible to to others)
can not only affect people that see us but also greatly affects our own self-esteem when we see ourselves in the mirror.
Even when I am not going anywhere around other people I like to groom and dress as the woman that I am.

Again, thank you for sharing.

HUGS and my best wishes to you as continue in your journey:
Danielle [Northern Star Girl]

Isn't it truly amazing, Alana? Sometimes, it's just the simple things that give us strength and put us at peace with ourselves. And, when that happens, it's pure magic for our souls.

Thanks for sharing your day with us. You made me smile!  :D

I agree that the transformation can be amazing. I spent a lot of time trying different things with makeup. Lots of trial and error, emphasis on error. I think I owed more makeup remover than makeup.

Then one day, I got it. I was like WOW. So I grabbed my wig and everything came together. For the first time in my transition, I saw her. I instantly recognized the woman in the reflection as me. I don't think that had ever happened before. After that, I knew exactly how to do my makeup.

<---- It looks like this! I just don't do it every day.

A little makeup can go a long way.

Agree, I love makeup and it does make me feel "normal" and puts a smile on my face. :)

I have to say Lori you look very nice with makeup on. And, yes, can't always do it everyday .. :)
