Title: What has been an odd technical glitch you experienced online?
Post by: ChrissyRyan on April 18, 2025, 08:43:57 AM
What has been an odd technical glitch (or maybe it was a hacked Web site) you experienced online or offline?  Perhaps it was an operating system error.

Did it go away, or did you simply avoid being in the same online situation so you would not have to deal with it?

Did you find that using antivirus software also got rid of the issue?
Or perhaps turning your device off and back on again, or rebooting, cleared the problem?

It's a known issue, and it's currently being worked on. There's an ongoing discussion here:

If you are a member here long enough you will from time to time experience odd happenings when visiting this Web site.  The staff will help as they can if it is a problem for you.

Kat,

Can you tell me what the error message says?
Also, when this happens, are you on a computer or your phone?
If on the computer, do you have other tabs open at the same time?

I am on a computer and it is the only webpage open, the error seems to suggest a login error has occurred please login and try again, then the page goes blank. I will try and get a screen grab next time it happens

Do you use Autofill, where the username and password are entered automatically? Or do you manually type them in when logging in?

I use auto fill because my brain went missing

@kat2

I checked the error logs for your profile, and it is not showing any error messages being generated from the site. That's why I wondered if your computer is using autofill and perhaps is trying to enter the information twice.
