No?  Would expect gamey flavor, like the other herbivores?  Like mutton? Tough because of the athletic nature of locomotion?

I have not had it.  It is supposed to be a lean meat and is often served grilled.

When I lived in Australia, there was a small movement trying to get greater
acceptance of harvested kangaroo as food.  I tried the sample and was not
impressed.  Tough and Gamey.

My social circle there likened kangaroos to rats so there may have been
significant social or cultural perceptions to overcome.

Somebody actually in Australia now may have a better feel for current sentiments.
My experience is old like me.

I wonder if wallaby would be eaten in Australia too.
