Have you ever eaten snake meat?
Would you eat it again?
No but I've seen people eat it on YouTube videos. I really kind of want to. ;D Is hard to get in Britain, though.
As an old desert rat, I have eaten rattlesnake a few times. The meat does "taste like chicken," but snake blood has a very strong and distinct smell and flavor that affects the taste of the meat. If the snake is not properly cleaned, it will not be pleasant.
Would I eat again? For survival, sure. Just because? Maybe. If something else is available, I would probably pass on the snake. It's one of those things you should do at least once in your life. Do it, get the t-shirt, and move on to the next thing on your bucket list. ;D

So cool.
I wouldn't mind trying something with a bit more oomph to it. Anaconda or Python. Something that is more squeezy than bitey. They probably have a lot of meat on them. ;D
The Florida Everglades has too many of the invasive pythons. Maybe you can get some of that from that region.
I probably will never eat snake meat.
Yes. rattlesnake. Tastes like frog. I mean tastes like chicken <<snicker>>

We have 3 native snakes in Britain and all are protected. If you are caught eating one there's a good chance your next meal will be porridge.
Never seen any of our snakes in the wild despite being a nature watcher since the 60s

I have eaten frog!
What amazes me is that some people say "That food tastes like cardboard!"
. . . Because when have they eaten cardboard so they know what cardboard tastes like?
