My name is Christy and i am a transfeminine person i am from phoenix Arizona i started my transition when i was 17 years old i am 58 years old now started hormones 6 years ago had to stop becuse of medical reasons better alive trans person then a dead one its been hard for me becuse of that but it is not the end of the world i will never stop being myself my pronowns are she her by the way and i love hearing everyones experiences we can all learn something new every singel day with much love Christy

It is wonderful to have you here with us. Your outlook that life is too short not to be yourself speaks volumes and your journey from starting at seventeen to living proudly at fifty-eight shows real courage. Stopping hormones for health reasons can be tough yet your choice to put well-being first is a powerful reminder that staying alive and true to who you are comes before everything else.
Thank you for sharing your pronouns she and her and for your eagerness to learn from everyone's experiences. We all grow when we listen to one another. May this community give you the support inspiration and friendship you deserve.
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.

Welcome Christy, there's been so many new members recently and every single one has been a pleasure to meet! We're an incredibly varied group who've come to rest at many different destinations along the way and though there's a tendency to see trans people as a homogenous bloc, in no way is that true :) Instead, we're a rich mix of people with gender identities which don't align with our sex assigned at birth with no such thing as a definitive end point.
The biggest step of all is accepting you are trans and you've done that, so congrats! You'll find lots of empathy here and an incredible range of experience to which I'm sure you'll contribute. Have a lovely day!

Not the end of the world at all!!! Self acceptance and walking out the door each day being yourself is all one needs!... I flew frequently to Phoenix in 2013/2014, early in my transition, for marathon electrolysis and will always hold fond memories of the city...You have landed in a great place here sister!
