Now be honest here.
girls :D
More fun and easier to be around and talk to I think.
Girls.
Definitely.
More empathetic for sure and less macho by far.
Machoness gets on my nerves more now.

Couldn't agree more. The last thing I care about when hanging out with the last of my guy friends is about how "bad ass" they are crap. Its like. . . oh man awesome! You scared some kid and threatened to beat him up?!?!? OMGOSH no way! You're way cool now!
Okay *sarcasm off* hehe.
I like people with a functioning brain, regardless of sex.

LOL Know you don't know the irony in your post, but you made Nero laugh.
Haha I had no clue Nero. How did I achieve such great irony without even knowing :) I would love to be enlightened :D
gells - I find them funnier, more observant of people, better story tellers, better listeners and much less with the hassle and one-upmanship type pressure.
Though when I find a male on my wavelength then we really click. But there have only been about 2 that have been that unfortunate.

Yes they drive me crazy thinking about "how" all day! :P haha. I'll make this a somewhat relevant post too in regards to the subject again. Now that people have had time to agree, I must agree with everything people said so far :) It's nice when you can read what everyone else said to agree with later!
No contest.
Guys scare me. Always have. I guess they always will.
Much happier in a group of girls. They don't judge me (at least to my face), I have more in common, and they communicate on a more personal level.
Jenny
I don't really have a problem with either. I've probably got something close to a 50/50 split of girl/guy friends. Maybe 60-40 slanting towards girls. But my roommate is a guy, and another guy lived here for a few months that I'm friends with. Neither of them made me uncomfortable.
Uncomfortable people make me uncomfortable, regardless of gender. So I don't really have a preference. I will say I have closer female friends than guy friends. Like if of my top 5 friends, the top 3 are women. But I know some really wonderful to be around guys. So whateva.
Women, mostly.

Other women. I have guys who are friends but I don't really "hang out" with them, just flirt a little.
Karen Lyn
girls.

i feel much more comfortable hanging with guys. i have very little in common with the average doll.
guys and dolls... i'm very comfortable hanging with. marlon brando singing... classic.
Dudes but I get along w/everybody. I'm a cool guy
It's really about the person for me, although in general I have little in common with average guys so I'm more comfortable with women. I'm most comfortable with other musicians, artists, regardless of gender though. We're all just a little weird ::)
y2g
guys that flirt with me
But, I'm kind of like y2g, I like the arty types, people that are a little off the beaten path (like me).
Most people bore me so I prefer solitude.
Guys. No contest.
I've only ever had three close female friends and they've always baffled me and made me feel extremely awkward.
Though I'm starting to find that hanging out with girls for dating purposes isn't actually bad at all...=/
Oh, no. Maybe I need to start considering bisexuality. XD
Hi Tekla

I do so agree.
I have a trans woman for my mate, and I love androgynes and I am part French and part Iroquois and a bit of gypsy as far as movin about. Neglected to say, ya I associate better with women but I get along with guys as well. ;D
Cindy
Girls.
We actually talk with each other rather than merely sitting and listening while some blowhard gasses on an on about less and less!! *smile*
With the guys all ya really need to do is smile a lot and nod your head; they really haven't a lot of interest in what you might say anyhow. They tend to be more concerned that everyone hears them.
Of course, they are always right too. So why bother trying to do anything but listen to 'god in an itty-bitty living space?'
Nichole
With guys, but that's more in theory because when guys see me they see a girl and that makes it more or less akward...
When they know me it's different of course.
With girls it's just the other way round: at first they think I would be perfect for "girls' talk", but in the end I can't relate at all...
I have always liked hanging out with girls, I just have more in common with other women. You can go shopping together and do fun things like that. But I find guys really funny they are so foreign to me and so opposite and I do find guys fun to hang out with too I just find them a bit boring and lazy too. Most of the time they say they will do something and never do it, gay men are a bit better but there all very similar. That's the way I've seen it anyway, overall I judge the person but I find girls better company overall.
Definitely with girls. At work, however, we are a small group of friends (seven people, four girls and three guys), we have lunch together, work as a team and get along pretty well.
tink :icon_chick:
With the Girl's... Guy's are boring..
Last night i had so much comfort chatting with my Girl friend late on the phone.
Girls, they are 100% nicer when you totally just look like your having a bad day.
Although because I am not full time, and the girls I see on a day to day basis have no idea, no matter how many times I say Oh those boots are cute, they dont see me as a equal, and probally just get seen as a gay guy asking about there shoes, but they know I have a girlfreind so I think I confuse em. lol.
Maybe one day I have a few female friends to go shopping with.
What am I?
Chopped liver?
Geeze. :)

Probably what it is for me too. I'm ok with both, get slightly more along with girls (understand them much better too), but have no problem with guys, or being friend with them. I have no problem discussing stuff with either group. I'm very open as a person (which surprises more than one).
The Guys... I only have 1 female friend and thats because she was my fiancee up until Monday.
Girls, I've haven't had very many guy pals. I have always gotten a lone better with the girls.
Girls,
although since I'm a musician anyone who has some talent in that regard always interests me. In high school I always had female friends that I would talk to about their problems. It suited me fine. I like to listen and I like to talk. Coherent conversation you know. Get a rum and coke in me and I'll talk your head off all night long. Speaking of which, I need to refill my rum and coke :-)

Get me a rhum and coke and I'll be drunk fast :P Although while drunk I do keep lucid...I'm also way less sexually inhibited. If drunk I have to be cautious around guys.
Re: Are you more comfortable hanging with guys or dolls?
I don't have much in common with guys but I prefer hanging out with women....dolls don't move that much.. ;)
a tough question.
i get on well with everyone, yet most of my real friends seem to be girls.
Gases on eh, well to be sure I believe we all have some gaseous friends that would make good substitutes as planet Saturn and Jupiter.
