Can all children really succeed?

To pack this a little further, what if my son has transsexual inclinations? Are gender-streamed schools the ideal in this particular situation? What do I do when he comes home crying to me, his daddy, to help him? Who is there to stand by me in my helplessness because I plainly and simply do not know what to do?
It depends on what you mean by "succeed."
If you mean completing a series of mandated exams to meat some artificial standard, then sort of.
If you mean preparing students for the real world where they will be competing with people from around the world, not even cloae.
All this networking of schools stuff sounds neat, but when do we teach our kids how to read? Or do simple math without a calculator? No Child Left Behind really means No Child Moves Ahead.
If your child is transgendered, there are resources, but I suspect that there are more resources available in the NE or NW areas of the US.
