Title: Am I a hopeless blond???
Post by: Audrey on January 28, 2008, 12:40:13 AM
I was headed to my friend house today and stopped at a gas station to fill up, and I totally locked my keys in the car.  Yeah I know Im special like that.  Luckily I had my cell so i called my friend to come and bring a coat hanger.  Although ditzy at times I am quite proficient with a coat hanger I must say.  It only took about 10 seconds to pop the lock.

Although maybe I should have found a hot guy at the gas station to help me and play the damsel in distress!!!!

I did that last week before class in a university parking lot! Yep, blonde as well.

Luckily my friend had her cell and called the university emergency services who came and popped the lock.

Nice to know I'm not the only person capable of locking her keys into her car.

New news, they can copy keys, so you can have a spare.  Just a brunette idea.

Really, and you can put it in your purse, your wallet, or hide it on the car.  Special Blond Note, do not put it in the trunk (boot), or, under the hood (bonnet), if you have to release the either from inside the car or you'll feel real, real blond.

The funny part is that all my spare keys are all in my house.

And actually I just remembered about the time that I got locked IN my apt.

I never lock my car with the keys because my alarm will always go off for some reason, so I have to use the little button.  My car won't lock too if I don't have the keys out of it, like as in I need to use that button on my keys or else my door won't lock.  It's blondproof.

In fact, I was with someone who locked their keys in their car, but had a hidden one under the hood, but the hood release was in the car.  That made her feel pretty dumb, but, once I showed her how easy it is to break into the car I think she was more worried than feeling dumb.  I kept trying to tell her that I had a slim jim as a work tool, I'm not sure if she believed me.  Perhaps, my first snappy answer that I had in case they car next to me had a better stereo was too convincing.

I can't lock my keys in the car, the drivers door won't lock if you  push the button down and shut the door - the door pops back. You have to use the key. The passenger's door can lock by shutting it but they don't expect the driver to exit that door.

Older brunette idea, own an older car you can't lock yourself out of.

Back in the day, my mother-in-law came in the house to tell me she had locked her keys in the trunk of her car.  It was a hatchback and the windows were open, so I folded down the back seat and handed her her purse.

When I was in high school I had a car like that...it didn't help.
One day I took someone I really wanted to impress to the beach.  I wore jeans over my bathing suit and snuck out because I didn't want my parents to know where I was going or who I was with (I'm so clever! ::)).  After we got there we took our normal clothes off and put them in the car, and of course, I locked the door to keep everything safe.  And of course, my keys were in my jeans, which were locked in the car.  Oops...

She wasn't really impressed with me...but she managed to get the door open with a piece of string we found on the side of the road, so I was really impressed by her!  And then disappointed by how easy my car was to break in to...

The really sad part is that was the second of three times I managed to lock my keys in the car just that summer...I was really really dumb, but I got better :P

Hi well I got brownish copper colored hair, so what does that make me, a copperhead? Well I don't have to worry about driving our Jeep, Wing Walker is like a kid with a new toy with that Jeep. Well I am kind of nervous driving anymore after the car crash we had two years ago in Asheville North Carolina  two years ago when we got struck by a half tone truck at a light, he had to be traveling at least 60 miles per hour when he struck us and the entire rear end was pushed right up to the back of the front seats. I think we must of had a guardian angel watching over us or something we got out with only a few bruises. Anyway I am kind of feel uncomfortable about driving but I know that I need to get behind the wheel again in-case something happened to Wing Walker.
