enlighten me!
I will be working, and I always give my GFs bling-bling. Seems to work for her, can't go wrong with jewelery for Hispanic women. I learned something from my marriage - never buy a girl something that plugs in to say "I Love You." Go diamonds.
going to disneyland!! But it just happens to be on Valentine's day :P
Home cooked meal, nice wine, flowers, and lots of pampering.
Dennis
Edit: but not actually on Valentine's day. I'm in criminal court that day and likely won't be in the most romantic mood. I'm taking her to a dance the Saturday after.
We are going to Vegas for Valentine's day. Leaving on Wednesday the thirteenth and coming back on Monday the eighteenth. Yay! it's going to be a mini vacation. God knows I need it. I have been working twelve hour shifts (sometimes fourteen) since the beginning of the year, and I need to relax!
What am I giving him? all of me! >:D ;D Seriously though, besides all of me...I have something for him, but it is a surprise and I am not telling you! :P

Thanks Buffy, Ell. Love you girls.
Sorry to weigh down your thread with this, Tasha. Love you too and wish all my girls (and Den), the happiest Valentine's Day with their sweetie, ever! Didn't mean to be a downer.
Sad. I'm sorry Nero.
As for me I am probably working. Besides no one to spend it with anyway. Well as far as a BF is concerned. All I want is flowers I've never gotten flowers before. :'(

a candle light dinner with good conversation and lots of flirting (like it used to be before we met) on top of a hill with a scenic view. then after the dinner and dessert he might still be craving something else. i'll give him a sexy dance with some sexy undies >:D and then we'll...ahem.. cough...ahem... cough...watch tv ;)
Sadly, my sweeties live in other states. I won't be able to be with them on V-day.
tekla, my honey likes diamonds, but sometimes they are way too large to put on your finger and come in unusual colors, i bought my wife a 1998 Ford Contour SVT :) :) :), it is a collectors item. it's one of like only 7,000 made. she loves it. it's a VERY dependable car, which is what i want for my baby since she supports me and the kids...i want my baby to make it to work and back and look sexy doing it. ooooooooooooohhh do i love the way she looks in that car. she got me jewelry, a shirt, candy, a pair of black pants, hair ties and clips, which was a nice change for once, i have been waiting almost 8 years for a V-day like this. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ash, tekla's advice was 'crystalized carbon,' not 'golden.'
Ummm, actually, I'll be in class all day and she'll be in class all evening. We'll probably give each other a hug and kiss and sleep together all night long. Or, who knows, maybe we'll haul out some spell and practice it. *smile*

if this is too personal, forget i asked, and i will crawl back to my little corner.

ahem.. you're right. i HAD a long-time girlfriend, also a mtf.. (we were together for almost six years) but after grs we went our separate ways. she has a boyfriend now too & i've been seeing this guy since a few months ago.
i thought you knew since you answered this thread:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,20220.0.html
there's another one in the "just for us" "strange desires, the just for us part" where i give more details about this new relationship. ok now you can crawl back to your little corner. ;)

yes, i posted in that thread, but i didn't mention anything about her then, because, it seemed to me, you had only recently mentioned how great she was, and so after i read the above thread, i thought you were cheating on her!
oh gosh, is it still gossip if someone speaks of such things right in front of your face? i hope i haven't hurt your feelings, and sorry for doubting you.
-ellie
ha ha ha ha. i've never "cheated" on anybody. i don't believe in cheating at all. she knew what i was up to. we had long conversations about it, and she was fine with it. she was also seeing someone at that time (the same guy she's with now). i guess we both knew we had to move on & we did.

ok, so you both had GRS and then you both
switched.
That is so interesting that i'd like to talk to my therapist about it (but i won't!)
to stay on topic, how do you like this new fellow, i mean, emotionally. do you have an urge to cook for him?

i don't think we "switched". i'm guessing i was always bi to begin with but since i had the wrong plumbing, i didn't want to be with men. now that i am post-op, i'm more comfortable with myself & i can finally say i also like men sexually. what is interesting is that before grs, some lesbian friends didn't think we were "real" lesbians but embraced us as their "sisters" so to speak. selegne (my ex) and i have never been with other women besides ourselves, and we were both pre-op when we met, so there was always a doubt on some people's minds

he's an amazing person, romantic, very polite, tall, dark ;). an urge to cook for him? no... ha ha i don't cook but he's ok with it.
I'll give her a bouquet of flowers, with a poem composed that day. Then, dinner out, and whatever else crosses our minds. Maybe at home we'll dance before going upstairs.....embarrass our kids, and get the grand kids all wound up.
Bev
Actually, its a fire opal with rubies around it for VD day (felt it had VD colors), I just use 'diamonds' as a generic term for any bling-bling. And of course it comes with flowers, some candy and the card - which is the hardest part. I can decide how much I want to spend on the bling, walk the mall and make a choice pretty fast, but the card, yeesh, she is a manager of a card/gift shop, so I have to really try to find a unique card. And since that's a busy day at the old gift shop - and a big night for shows (Robin Trower), so I'm aways working, we celebrate the holiday on a different night.
And I already know what I'm getting, the lot of us really. Our GF/wifes/whatever have all conspired together and about 15 of us who are always working together are getting these Motorola phones. Not sleek, or colorful, no camera, they look like little tanks, built for the military they are almost unbreakable (we'll put that to the test) and waterproof, they have walkie-talkie functions so we can use them to run the show - (it can be used one-one one, or we can all be on it at the same time - off network, so no billing), they have sim cards and Java so we can store our calcs and use the calculator, keep track of our hours with a good datebook, and they get email, so we don't need to lug our laptops around with us anymore either. It will be like losing five pounds in my travels.

i had no idea robin trower was still around. "Why so unforgiving?"

People in the music biz don't die, they just play smaller clubs.
Off to vegas 4 valentines :icon_joy: :icon_dance: happy valentines day to you'all :) :) :)
Dont have a valentine...
Since my valentines are so far away, I am going to the "Singles' Day" party my landlady is throwing.
