We haven't heard from the gay-lesbian-transgender movement. We don't know what their thinking is. Generally gay guys, they'll side with the candidate that's the more fashionable.
And, who knows fashion like gays do? Queer Eye for the Straight Guy anyone?
And from a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Constipated Thinking:

Its is kind of funny - in the same way a train wreck is - how many TS I know who are "old-fashioned" Reagan voting, McCain supporting, conservative types. So much for "Self-Enlightened Voting."
...Maybe that's 'cause grouping by TG/TS is somehow artificial, or at least more artificial than grouping by other in-born traits such as where one falls on the progressive/conservative spectrum.

Agreed. As it turns out, dumb people come in all colors, all stripes, all sexual choice. i.e. Log Cabin Republicans - 'nuff said?
Somewhere I saw an article this week that suggested that conservatives were innately for the formation and maintenance of an aristocracy. That's why they vote against their own personal financial interests, then turn around and find/create someone lower on their so-called 'natural' pecking order to slam around -- Messicans, Lib-rools, homo-SEX-uals, whatever...

Cool by me as long as I get to be the princess.

Indeed. I think transgender people are probably more conservative than the general population. Bizarre to think about, and it is changing, but so many older TS folks seem to believe that they've assimilated and are no longer a part of a stigmatized group (makes sense, since in the "bad old days" clinics told people to hide their pasts and never disclose). Let's hope the 21st century is a little brighter.
