So, I've been hanging out in the IRC chatroom for a while now, but I finally got onto the forums. My name's Vivian, I'm a 21 y.o. genderqueer from Atlanta GA. I'm in college studying sociology and gender and women's studies and making a buck here and there with my songs and jazz gigs. I just began hormones last Friday and hope to get the SRS ASAP.
So... uh... yeah!

Welcome and have fun.
So, music and sociology. A useful combination. Sociology allows you to figure out how society functions. Music allows you to work with society.
Some powerful possibilities there.

don't forget the gender studies! I plan on doing research to give us hard data on transgendered life. I'm trying to get rid of the questions and speculation for us!

I consider gender studies to be a subset of sociology. Though, since it combines psychology, sociology and a whole bunch of other things, adding in that does make a lot of sense.
I like the idea of getting rid of the questions and speculation behind GID issues. It could feed into a large number of areas and demonstrate that gender is a series of spectrums.
Hi Welcome to the club.
