Title: Thighs.
Post by: fluffy jorgen on February 27, 2008, 06:39:51 PM
Going off the thread zombiesarepeaceful made.
He asked about hips, which are not a problem for me. My problem is thighs!
Women's thighs are naturally "fatter"/ larger looking than men's.
Any tips on hiding them, or drawing attention away from them?
I wear a lot of tight pants, tights, shorts, I don't feel comfortable in anything else. Lol.
It didn't use to bother me, it's just lately that it's become a real downer. Most of all it makes me dillusional that I'm fat all over, when it's not the case.
Hope I made sense, lol.

I think the only thing you can realistically do is just accept that fact that some guys do have larger thighs. I have thighs like tree trunks, but then so did my Dad. Saw a video of myself on stage a while ago and made a mental note that next time I perform, I'm gonna try wearing a jacket and see if that helps. Otherwise, I dunno.

Would wearing baggy pants over tighter ones (something not bulky like lycra) be a possibility?  You'd probably get some compression from the lycra plus have the feeling of wearing tight pants, while having the overall shape of your legs disguised.  When my legs started developing out of the 'skinny boy' range at puberty, I pretty much refused to wear anything but baggy pants, with baggy shirts to try and balance out my upper body, which was starting to look disproportionately small to me.

Lose weight? Unless you just have naturally bigger thighs...in which case losing weight might not help if you're at a healthy weight already.

Looser clothing might help, if you're willing to adapt to wearing it instead of tight clothes. If you're looking to draw attention away from your thighs, that might be your only option atm, because wearing tight clothing definitely doesn't aid in hiding anything. It doesn't have to be ridiculously baggy clothing...just not skin tight. Maybe some regular jeans from the men's section? Sweatpants? Jogging pants?

I honestly don't think though, that thighs are something people decide your gender upon. If anyone questions you, invent an answer, say you're an athlete, tell them to ->-bleeped-<- off...doesn't matter. It's none of their business, really :) If you pass fairly well aside from your thighs, I wouldn't worry about it. You say it didn't use to bother you? Well then, continue not to let it!

I had monster thighs, and I mean BIG
(mostly muscles all my life) as a man.
And besides the fact it made finding clothes that fit
a challenge, it has never been an issue.

Maybe, the question is more trying to balance the
upper body. If you do a lot of upper body weightlifting
you should balance out the upper and lower body.

I've got a puny upper body, currently wearing 32B, so
there are males with big thigh, large hips and small
upper bodies. Before I transitioned, I had quite a bit
of muscles in my upper body which balanced out
my humongo lower body. I had a 40 inch torso, while now,
if I didn't have breast it would be 30 inch, you can imagine
how much muscles I lost!
