Title: kill bill
Post by: katy19 on March 02, 2008, 06:59:03 PM
the kill bill movies illustrate my life thus far.  i love how the movie is about perseverence through all the ->-bleeped-<- she goes through.  she finally pulls through at the end.  it also explores the idea of ego and alterego.  i love how bill talks about how superman is different from all the rest because when he wakes up in the morning, he is superman but he has to hide himself by being clark kent.  overall these movies parallel many of the ordeals im going through.  plus the fact that its and action movie with the woman as the hero.  i love it!!!

You have chosen an unusual role model to be sure.

Like you, I did enjoy her character very much.

You need role models from real life, not from some coke snorting, pot smoking Hollywood screenwriter.

lol shes not a role model, just a character in a movie whom i have a lot in common with.  quentin tarantino is a genius at best, despite the kind of person he is.  his movies are very artistic.

Jerry Garcia and Keith Richards were good players.  So was Miles Davis, and lots of other jazz guys.  Still, I would hate to see my kid shoot heroin in order to be that good.  And at times, I'm not sure that one is not the price for the other, which is the deal with the devil.

Still, people who live real lives have lessons that are more valid than a stereotype in a Hollywood production deal.

And, at that, admire only the living.  Dying is way too easy.

i indeed feel my life is like kill bill, but i think that was more the incident today when i had to kill 88 people with samurai swords because one of them hide my housekeys under a cushion

lol i guess im getting more at the the whole superhero and disguise thing.  i wake up and i just AM katheryn, but stephen is my coverup, my clark kent.  in this case, bill explained it as beatrix trying to be a mother to cover up the killer side of her, which was then proven wrong at the end lol but thats irrelevant.

What's wrong with having a character from a movie as a role model?  The screenwriter is not the role model.  And not everyone has the luxury to find a role model in real life.  They are not dime a dozen, you know?

I loved Kill Bill, but haven't seen the second one, one day I will.  So I suppose, she did get to kill Bill?  ;D
