(I'm a little verklempt this morning; and Ain't It Glorious? Great to be ALIVE... I am crying as I type this.)
I considered that my signature, the hierarchical culmination in the thought: Love is not Music; Music is The Best, may see the reaction: 'how can she say that Music is better than Love?'
Maybe it's like this:
I have loved (and "none too wisely") and even been loved, by humans. It's been my experience in life that this is usually a transitory thing, it comes and it goes. It can break your heart, and not in a totally good way.
The Love you get from Music is not like this. That well does not dry up. It is the voice of God, telling you She loves you and she always will. No Matter What.
I have always had a hard time with prophets, and Word o' God stuff. My feeling is that it's music and not lyrics; sunsets/sunrises and not text messages or Word documents. (Especially an Old Testament God with judgements and strict laws and punishments. Those of you of the BD/SM persuasion may not agree with this. ;))
The Music, from The Muse Herself, is always going to be there for you. It is like a vast and deep river, only more so.
I am so fortunate, no matter what trials or tribulations face me. I got the Music in me. I only want to share the love. The Music.
Interesting, Jan. I don't feel it often enough lately because I haven't been meditating. (My bad, because I really need to to keep my health in this terrible work situation I was lured into.)
Music can touch my soul, as it seems to do with you. Soul, spirit... call it what you will.
It can be a popular song like "I've never been to me." or a classical piece like Brahms, Borodin, or Tchaikovsky, or a meditation piece by any number of groups. To be still, to be at piece, to be one with the music.
I'm with you on that.

Music allows you to feel emotions tht words alone can not express.
May I ask what happened for you to be so moved?

hi Chaunte - nothing happened. I am that way all the time. I get up every day with a song in my heart. Literally.
There are pieces of music that get me every time, for instance, 'The Fairy's Garden', the last section from Mother Goose by Maurice Ravel.

I've been to paradise, and I found the way back to me. Now that's Paradise)

Waking up with music in your heart is a blessing. Listen carefully to the music- the Almighty may be speaking through it!
