Not a Good Fit? Transgender Civil Rights and the Federal Workplace.
When Airborne Ranger qualified Special Forces Colonel David Schroer applied to the Library of Congress to be the senior terrorism research analyst, it seemed a perfect fit. After accepting the job, but prior to starting work, David took the future boss to lunch to explain that David would soon be Diane, and thought it would be easier for everyone if she simply started work as Diane. The following day, her future boss rescinded the job offer, telling her that she wasn't a "good fit" for the Library of Congress. Diane filed a discrimination complaint in federal court and is being represented by the ACLU

I hope she wins.
I only want her to win if she thinks the biggest terrorists in America are located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Other than that, more of the same, and since she cast her dice with those people, she deserves no less than what she is getting.

Anyone here thinks this sounds a little harsh ?
So, - You only want her to win "if".... So exactly please tell me who are you, to stand in judgement of another that you have never met or known in this life ?
How about this. Have you ever known or worked with anyone trying to help the intelligence communties, even if there may be many corrupt and out of control people at every level of government and military ? For all of those that you have percieved might be those things, there are still always going to be those that joined for good reasons, and that believe they are trying to serve the better good.
Me personally, i thank anyone that has served, even if dont like their politics. There are still real good men and women that actually are bleeding RIGHT NOW, because they BELIEVE in protecting you and me, and your freedoms which you so preciously espouse to care so deeply for. How about showing some respect for that, even if you don't agree with it.
I cannot belive you would say this after lecturing ME about being just as rabid as the opponets in our referendum fight her in MD. You just did EXACTLY the same thing you criticized ME for, in another post. How or why can you be so hypocritical ?
How about this one. Since you dont know her, and have not personally witnessed every facet of her life prior to this moment in time, do you reserve the right to make such harshly condemning statements without even having met her ?
OK - how about this - Honestly and objectively speaking, unless you are an incredible psychic, and can prove such to me, could you possibly know all of her individual and personal motivations for joining the services in the first place ? How about who she has worked with, or under, or over ?
What she worked on ? and whether or not greater good or ill was achieved in this person's service to (Y)OUR country ?
How about whether or not it is fair at all to make such a callous and judgemental remark about someone else's transitional struggles, based on a complete lack of any of the above personal knowledge, since you cannot possibly have been personal witness to ANY of these aspects of her life.
How about shutting your mouth with such needlessly inflammatory remarks about people you dont even know.
I have the very same issue with 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I DO agree with you on that point, but to lambast someone that HAS willingly given their life in service of your country - and wishes to continue to do so, and you have not the slightest clue as to whether or not they are a corrupt person or not - have a little more respect than that.
You sounded just like a hateful bigot, making judgements on nothing but nothing.
Sincerely,
Thanks,
Maryanne
I don't thinik its harsh, I find it realistic. I'm happy to stand in judgement of an unelected government of occupation. I find it wrong. If she is on the other side, let her be tried for crimes against humanity, like those that she so supports. I can care a wit about opponetens of democracy overseas, when people like you care so little for those who, in our homehand, care so little about our laws.
i.e. in short, an enemy of the state, is a criminal, no matter what gender. In that, I'm pretty danm democratic.
