CandieFLA is way cool. She gave me that crucial bit of insight I was just not getting with my own practice with the vid with the pencil and the power-drill ...

Those are awesome!  Thanks, Lucy.  If nothing else, it is so helpful just seeing what is possible.  I hope she records some more.

And with the added bonus that you have not just one female voice, but a whole bunch ... preppy you, professional, mature you, seductive you, and even different guy you's ... not that I think many of us would ever want ot use those!

Hell, if the government ever come after one of us though, we'll be a cinch blending in .... hmmmm, wonder if the CIA is hiring...

She gets some things very wrong with her approach.  For one she states girls talk slower.  Which is off base.  One of the largest things speech with women is the pace they talk, it can be, and often is very very fast.  Its like she learned how to do this slow at first, but never figured out she should pick up the pacing of her speech, and never figured out it was a problem, and thought it was correct.  It is a big mistake on her part with regards to female speech patterns.  Just because there is more musicality in the way women speak, does not mean they speak slower.  In fact men on average speak slower.  Very annoying aspect to her videos, and an inaccuracy.  In fact it made viewing the videos a bit annoying, because she speaks SO SLOW.  I don't find these videos fantastic, largely because I have a better grasp of the voice issue.  Yes...her voice is pretty, but her pacing and some other subtle speech patterns are poor.

Hiya

The thing I feel frustrated about with regards to voice training is that all the resources I have found are from Americans. The American accent has a naturally more singy songy sound to it whereas the British accent doesnt. I think that this makes it harder to get the voice right.

I have never gone more then a half way voice sufficiently enough that I use to get carded as a woman's voice. I know also if you wish to be credible or passable in your new gender having the correct voice certainly helps. I am thinking about adjusting it to a higher pitch so I believe that this girl is doing a fantastic job of voice training.

Thanks Lucy for the introduction.
