I just read on another site that one guy bought a Waist Trimmer Belt from Wal-Mart for $5.97 and used it as a binder. He said it was far more comfortable than any other binder he tried, and someone else had also tried it and raved about it. I thought I'd mention it. I'm going to try it. I figure for six bucks i can't go wrong?

What section do you find that in?
I'm not sure. My brother used to work at WalMart and he thought the pharmacy near the weight loss products, or maybe women's underwear. I'm going tomorrow and I'll let you know.

okay :)
Weight loss section. The 6 dollar one is probably the blue and black one. It works but doesn't last as long the red and black one which is between 20- 30 dollars. Only problem is they are hot in the summer.

in the pharmacy/wt. loss/supplement section or the exercise section? I couldn't find it in the pharmacy area of my wal-mart today, but I only had 10 minutes and I had to get to work.

I've used that to bind in my early days transitioning. It was in the exercise department with the knee braces, stretch bands, sports tape, dumbbells, etc. It worked alright...too bumpy, but then again I'm pretty anal about how flat my chest is, it's never flat enough. These days I use the tri top from underworks.
If you wanna go cheap, control top pantyhose are an option as well. They require some modification but for me they were pretty flat...they hurt though, and cut off circulation...
And I hate to say it but when I was being really fckin cheap I used tape, DONT DO IT.
AHHH! :icon_eek: zombies is right. Tape inflicts so much pain. It leaves nasty bruising and tears the skin, and in my experience caused fainting. (did it too tight and then had to do some heavy lifting. never again :'( )
^Yikes. For me it just was painful...although the tri top from underworks causes scarring as well, on the shoulders and under the arms...and on the fatty masses on my chest sometimes, it's a much less damaging method of binding because it allows you to breath, unlike tape. I don't recommend ace bandages either, because they also restrict breathing. My tri top is starting to lose its binding ability...meh.
How long approx. does a Tri. binder last? ???
The waist trimmer does work, however, you have to make sure to hide the velcro part under your arm, and they tend to inch down if you've been sitting for a while. They aren't too uncomfortable, but can get pretty warm. Every time I wear mine I sweat so much that it's completely soaked after just 3 or 4 hours....but I tend to sweat a lot. lol
I tried the $6 waist trimmer, and it tore the first time I used it. I'd highly recommend springing for the $10 Athletic works one. (Red, in a plastic box.) It has binding all the way around it, to prevent that from happening. It's also a bit longer than the cheaper one, which might be a problem for you skinny Minnies (Mickeys?) out there, but it's much better for those of us with more girth.
