George Lee Clark is confused.
"I'm not about hate," he said during a recent interview at the Starbucks in Little Five Points, his hands waving between sips of a frozen coffee. "That's a misunderstanding. I'm about love for all. People are condemning me for it. What I'm trying to figure out — is it a genetic defect? That's a very confusing matter."
"It" is homosexuality. Clark — who calls himself a "soldier of Christ" — thinks gay people commit acts of perversion. But he can't figure out why God keeps creating gay people, who even make it on the holiest of talk shows, "Oprah."
And the Prince of Peace needs soldiers why? I'm very confused.
