I don't wear the same brand for my whole face. L'oreal double extend mascara, Yves Saint Laurent Matt Touch Foundation, Trish McEvoy Mineral Powder Foundation, Bobbi Brown Lip Crayon. I have my nails done at a salon so I don't know what product she uses.
I use covergirl powder and then I use whatever eye shadow I like and a little mascara now and again. I grab lipstick the color I like, no specific brand and my nails I have done at a salon, solar gel nails and I get them painted the color I feel like at the time. Will change the color before I go back for the fill. I'm just very simple and have gone the route of the expensive brands only to throw money down the toilet.

I use Cover Girl Ultimate Finish Foundation. I use two slightly different shades, with a lighter one around my eyes. I also set it with the corresponding pressed powder, blending it with a brush. I get my blush at Ulta, their brand. For mascara I like Cover Girl Volume Exact. On my lips I like to use Revlon ColorStay and sometimes I top it with L'Oreal Infallible lip gloss. I use a dark brown Almay Eyeliner crayon and my favorite eye shadow is a proprietary kind sold in a local shop. Sometimes if I am just in a hurry and want a little bit on, I use some mineral makeup. For nails, I have never found anything that works as well as OPI.

Awesome.. a makeup thread... I love makeup, it makes me feel so female :)
I don't get to wear make upon a daily basis yet :( ... but I do every chance I get. But I've been fortunate
to be married to a "makeup girl" who would rather be dead than caught without makeup. She spends a fortune
on makeup and I encourage her every chance I get :)
Even in my darkest denial days I "borrowed" things when she was away just to "try them out"
lol.... don't ask me how I can be in denial and look forward to putting on makeup... it makes
no sense to me either. Anyway I've tried a lot of products and here is what I like to use.
My wife uses mineral foundation because she has perfect skin but for
me that's not an option. I use Mac "Full coverage" or "Studio Tech" for foundation. I've always
been told (and read) that you should spend your money on foundation (if
your old enough to need it or have bad skin). I use NYC translucent powder to
set the foundation. Mac also has a good powder call Studio Fix to go along with Studio Tech.
Both Full Coverage and Studio Tech work well... I think Studio Tech was desiged to show
well in photographs. You can buy Mac online at maccosmetics.com if you feel uncomfortable
going to the counter. But I've gone to the Mac counter at Dillards and Macy's and it's not a big deal,
the girls are very helpful.
I have not started facial har removal yet and use a Mac "paint stick" in orange
(called Dusty Coral)that counteracts the black beard.
For eye shadow I've found that the drugstore brands work about as well as something like Mac and a
lot cheaper. I like Maybelline and WetNWild eyeshadows but there are some Mac colors I love. All
fairly understated... I don't like to standout.
I like Revlon eyeliner pencils. I've tried the Loreal HIP cream eyeliner and it's nice but harder to apply.
I love Loreal lipstick.
I love all the Loreal HIP products... Cream Eyeliner, Voluminous Mascara, Eyeshadows, Bronzer,
Colour Rich Lipstick and foundations. If I had to choose I'd pick Mac for the foundation though.
In Maybelline I like the moisture extreme lipsticks. Lash Stylist mascara, Great Lash
Maybellline's Define A Lash. In fact I think Maybelline has the best mascara and it's cheap.
Great Lash is awesome.
I use Jane's one touch concealer and I like their mineral eyeshadow.
Also in a drungstore brand I like MAX Factor pan stik foundation and Max Factor lip liners.
Revlon: Colorstay eyeliner, Colorstay Foundation, Colorstay Pressed Powder, Super Lustrous Lipgloss
Physicians Formula: undereye circle concealer
I like the WetNWild nail polishes and lipliner/lipgloss
NYC loose and pressed powder (good stuff) and NYC nail polishs
Almay Moisturizing makeup remover pads work like magic.
If I could only buy drugstore brands I'd use anything by Maybelline, Lorel and Revlon and add NYC powder.
I'm so glad you started this thread Natasha... it's so much fun!

Well, I love Clinique, and I try to wear all its products as possible, but let's see.
Clinique lash power mascara (I use this for my eyebrows as well). As far as foundation is concerned, I wear Clinique repairwear anti-aging makeup with SPF 15 since my skin is fair and you always need sun protection anyway regardless of the season. Clinique almost powder (it doesn't get all caky on you & it doesn't make you look like you have been painted with makeup). Clinique color surge bare lipstick (I generally buy the pink colors but they carry all kinds). Oh yes, for my nails I wear Mac nail color (any kind, they are all excellent).
I don't wear eye shadow or lip liner (I am not very fond of blushes either, but I wear it occasionally...Maybelline cheek color, the lightest pink I can find), but in the winter time, when my skin gets pale and ghostly, I wear a pinch of Clinique bronzer.
tink :icon_chick:
I like Maybelline for cosmetics and Olay for lotions.
I like Lancome lipstick, its expensive but worth it. CoverGirl for foundation and powders. Standard brands for the rest. CoverGirl, Almay, Maybelline, for eyeshadow, CG for liner and rouge.
Maybelline Great Lash mascara in the pink and green tube. When I can't find plain brown, I use black/brown. I'm blonde, so I really need it.

I work in the industry and know very well that no one line has the best of everything. I also know (insider secret) that the same labs that make MAC lipstick for example make lots of other brands. Very few companies have their own labs, Avon does, Mary Kay does, Estee Lauder does. L'Oreal and Lancome have the same parent company and if you look carefully share many of the same formulas. You make the choice whether you want to be a Lancome user or a L'Oreal user based on price and prestige not quality. For the most part everyone else buys from all of the same labs. That's why if you are a girl on a buget look at ingredient decks and keep an open mind often you are just paying for a massive advertising budget.
Quote from: TinkWell, I love Clinique,
A girl after my own heart. I use Clinique exclusively. I have tried many other brands but I find that Clinique meets all my make-up needs. I like the way it goes on, the way it feels when it's on, the way I look, and it's lasting qualities. However, I do find it expensive, and have to budget accordingly.

Bare Escentuals is my favourite makeup brand. It's all natural, doesn't clog your pores and has a natural sunscreen.
i mostly use NYC nail polish & lipstick
I like Olay and Vaseline Intensive care lotions and stuff, and for make-up I'm still on the MAC I bought when I needed lots of cover. I use very little make-up now that my face is mostly clear though, so not much help there. Sorry. Olay is brilliant though. :)
