OK Emerald, but I wanna be something macho, like a snapdragon!
Dennis
You can be a venus fly trap Dennis. I don't think you can get more masculine than that. They're pretty cool. Maybe you could with a weed. ??? Of course those aren't flowers. How about a Pansy? :-* *Ducks and runs for cover*

I do enjoy reading the posts here, even ones I disagree with as I consider they challenge me in a positive manner. And I enjoy posting as well :)
Now what sort of plant would I be in this garden? well, - "Pattersons Curse" I like - also known as "Salvation Jane" in South Australia.
Known for its good and bad qualities, hated by graziers (except in bad seasons) and loved by bee keepers :)
Thats me

I would have to be a dilweed. No particular reason; I just like saying "dilweed".

*Kim is a pine tree* ;)
Now, why is Kimber a pine tree you may ask? Well, the logic is something like this:
- She is just such a nonconformist.
- She likes being different, and evergreen is very nice too (= (Pine trees smell so wonderful too)
- An, she has been around an age...
;)
Melissa is a Lily. White and innocent. ;)

i would be a vine (let's switch it up a little), a grapevine to be exact. 'Gaglioppo' (a red grape vine) is from the south eastern region in Italy, Abruzzo. my family is from that region in the province of Chieti.
my great uncle Angelo brought back Gaglioppo stock from his brothers vinyard in Chieti and gave me some to plant.
i'm a landscaper so it's hard to pick, and i really like this topic!

I think I'd be a dandelion because, no matter how much society would want to be rid of me, I'd keep on growing.

Oh...this is a neat one isn't it. Thankyou for posting it Emerald. I had so many smiles spring across my face reading all the replies! As for me hum...hum... I think a sweet fragerant thornless rose maybe in a coral color. Thornless because I simply can not abide being the cause of someones pain. A rose because of the romantic thoughts that go with roses also because they can stand the heat. Coral color because it's bright and beautiful and has such elegance.
Smiles everyone,
Peggiann
Jasmine.
Blooms at night... such tiny flowers... yet SO fragrant, so intoxicating...
Hmm... time for some jasmine tea, methinks :) Off I go..
thistle....look, but don't touch^^
also there's a red poppy that grows along the roads here (one of those DMV things). because of my color blindness i can't quite see or focus on them. like, you know there's something great there, you just can't quite make it out.
Dandilion,
Hey I may be a weed but I look damn good to be just a weed!
:-*

Geeze i can't think of one, but I'm working on it :)

For this Irish girl, there is only one possibility - the Shamrock! 'Tis the Rebel in me!
Chaunte
No slam is meant towards today's Great Britian and the Commonwealth. But...
If you would let the reference to Ireland represent the LGBT community and Victorian England represent all who would stand in our way...
And if the color we must wear is England's cruel red,
Let it remind us of the blood that Ireland has shed.
Then take the shamrock from your hat and throw it sod
And never fear, 'twill take root there, though under foot it's trod.
When the law can stop the blades of grass from growing as they grow.
And when the leaves of summertime, their colors dare not show
Then I will take the color that I wear in my caubeen
But until that day, please God, I'll stick to the Wearin' O' the Green!
Chaunte :)
Reading your post and suddenly into my mind comes the song from straight out of my schooldays.
"Land of Song cried the warrior bard
though all the world betrays you
One sword at least thy rights shall guard
One faithful harp shall praise you"
I say this, thats how I think of you :)

A power plant. 8)
I would be a lilac. Purple is my most favorite color. Lilac smells so good to me. We had a lilac plant in our backyard when I was growing up. I loved it!

Nero is a rose.
Beautiful and admired by all, yet also has thorns.
A Nero by any other name would not smell as sweet.
Nero
Nero, I almost chose a rose for the exact same reasons. :)
