"It's not nice to contemplate that people are out there by the
millions taking all the polycarbonate plastic containers that they
have and chucking them into landfill or whatever," observed Chris
Metcalfe, a professor of environmental studies at Trent University in
Peterborough, Ont., who has conducted experiments showing that these
trace amounts of BPA are able to change the sex organs on fish."
