I have a friend who is trying to find stuff on being Intersex. She is a really good friend of mine and is questioning. I know she has really painful periods and only once every 3-5 months naturally. She has recently found out she has extremely high testerone levels for a girl but does not have any male genitalia as far as she knows.
Could you please point me towards resources for intersex or anything else which this could be?
Thank you :)
Probably not intersex. Maybe PCOS or some other gyno related problem.
I agree that it doesn't sound like intersex. Here is a link to Susan's Wiki entry on the subject.

As far as i know in proces of diagnosing IS condition, karyotype, hormone levels,
ultrasound of abdomen are all relevant. The best is to consult your physician to
determine weather she is intersexed or not. IS may or may not have abnormal
looking genitalia. It all varies and is very individual...
good luck
