(I do say that BlueNC thread on the "pansy" comment was wild, particularly for that community blog! All I can say is that this political season has seen a lot of firsts, including a lot of feet-in-mouths. - promoted by pam)

Twice in two days Senator Hillary Clinton has been present when sexist/anti-gay language was used in her presence, used in a manner to highlight her specifically. And yet she was completely quiet, showing neither offense, nor any inclination to "correct" the comments or chastise the speaker.

These national political campaigns of which there is only one in the USA, (and yeesh, this one seems to have been going on for years and years now) require you to attempt to be 'all things to all people' which, as anyone who watches them finds out, is a pretty silly thing in pretty short order.

Though in the sense of being strictly theater has provided some pretty amusing moments over the years.  I'm torn over who looked worse, Obama bowling or Hilliary doing a shot and a beer.  Though I understand that Hillary can drink, and do it pretty well, she is not a shot and a beer kind of drinker.
