More Bleating About How "Humans Are Made In God's Image As Male And Female"

I'm sure many of you weren't aware that now homosexuality is widely accepted — you know, because only about half the states have employment and/or housing protections for LGB folk — but apparently all y'all gay activists have succeeded beyond your wildest dreams. In fact, you've been so successful that now you are turning [your] attention to normalizing ->-bleeped-<- by gaining legal status for what [you] call gender identity or expression.

Autumn's essay just about covers it. Very well said.

I thought God was made from my image.

Uhm....

"The Bible teaches that humans are made in God's image as male and female"

yup... he made each male AND female.  Can't it be read that way?  ;)

Or... exactly what IS God's image now?  Ask someone.  You'll not get the same answer from too many.

But if God is a he and he made women in HIS image....

Okay... my mind hurts from trying to figure this out.  This happens every time I try to read religious meanderings or scripture.... I get a brain freeze.  I try to read too much into it.

Perhaps I should follow my own advice and use these texts for inspiration and not take them literally.  Hint, hint.

Rebis, what does your avatar represent?
I don't know if you want to know this, however, my avatar is a drawing of me stuck inside a circle with 2 arrows through my mid-section as I create a puddle of pee.

Somehow, I am being crucified inside the circle.

Please don't think ill of me.

.... I almost forgot.  It represents joy.

For some reason, it's cracked me up since I first drew it.  I was being sardonic about the joy, but the laughter is from where my joy springs.

I also forgot to mention that my hands and feet are fixed to the circle and when the circle isn't trying to shrink to crush me, it is trying to grow and pull me apart.

I honestly didn't sit around for weeks trying to think of these things.

Well, ya.  It's "male and female," not "male or female."  That means that at the least god is intersexed.

...... YUP!  How bout that?  Shall we dissect any other scriptural passage this evening?
