I am expecting to have SRS with Dr Suporn early next year. I wonder how much after-op care (and time) I will have to put in during AND after the healing stage.
My friend told me she had been told by a post-op that sanitary pads need to be worn 24* 7 coz things keep oozing out! I wonder if it's just a matter of the procedure invovled in the surgery or it's like that no matter which doctor you go.
Dr Suporn uses his own special technique which requires a longer recovery period than other techniques. He gives you incredible depth, sensation and aesthetics, but it comes at a cost. His dilation requirements are also longer than most surgeons. I'll let a supornista fill you in on that.
Generally after surgery pads are necessary "24/7" for two weeks approximately because of spotting and/or drainage. After that it's really up to you how much you want to use them. I continued to use them for a couple months simply because I didn't want lube to make a mess of my underwear. You know that darn Law of Gravity. >:D Now at 7 months post-op I only use a pad for a few hours after my dilation (read not 24/7).
Hope this helps.
I had SRS with Dr Suporn last year.
I stopped in Thailand for a month after surgery which is recomended and is a really good idea. I wore pads during the daytime for the first two months post op but at night I just put a bed pad or towel on the bed to protect it. I've not needed to use anything since then although I know some people have needed to use them for up to nine months.
Don't get too freaked out about the dilation routine. A few years ago it was quite extreme but now it is comparable with most other surgeons.
You can get lots more advice and info via the Dr_s_club on yahoogroups. You might feel like you've joined a wierd Suporn worship cult (I did) but its definately worth joining if you are seriously considering Surgery with Suporn.
Hope this helps
Ann
I went with Suporn and used them only for 3 months. At home it is better to let the air get to it. Leakage is not so bad you can use a towel on furniture for the occasional spots. I did bath after dilation that keeps the mess down.
