The board of directors of the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee Inc. has named Theresa Sparks the lifetime achievement grand marshal for this year's San Francisco LGBT Pride celebration.
"I am honored to be chosen the 2008 Pride grand marshal for lifetime achievement. ... This year's theme, 'United by Pride, Bound for Equality,' is one in which I personally believe – for marriage equality, transgender inclusion, and all LGBT civil rights," Sparks wrote in an e-mail to the Bay Area Reporter.
