Post by: lovely2008 on May 10, 2008, 02:42:06 AM
I've been thinking whether i should go Suporn or Brassard. I have seen the a lot of beautiful pics from Suporn site, but none could be found for Brassard.....

does anyone know where they are (hidden)?

I have seen results from Drs. Brassard and Menard on the TS Roadmap web site.  As I recall, there are pics from all of the experienced physicians in the U.S. and Thailand as well.

Hope this helps.  Please let me know.

There are members here who did not have a great experience with Suporn, the results were not as expected.  I will leave it up to the person concerned to comment further.  My Surgery was with Brassard two years ago and the experience is published in my Blog found here at Susan's called "Dancing Backwards" it can be read here:

Try the link http://www.annelawrence.com/twr/srsindex.html (http://www.annelawrence.com/twr/srsindex.html) .... all seems to be working fine !

Also http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Trans-surgery/ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Trans-surgery/) has photos, but you need to be approved by site admin to join (a short e-mail about your reason for wanting to join is required).

I had a really good result with Brassard, and I've not heard anyone have any real problems with him apart from the very odd minor niggle about "cosmetics" which you get with every surgeon.

Suporn, well you either love or hate his "aesthetic", and if you go to him you understand that because his procedure is so different you accept more pain, longer recovery, and a significantly greater risk of complications .... just do your research and make up your mind.

I just looked at all the links... again... I think all the results are so beautiful... some more so than others.

I guess after looking at all the results I think I'm in the "love his aesthetic" camp.

But they really are all beautiful... I would take any of them and be so happy to have it. :)

Suporn and Brassard were my final choice. They are both excellent surgeons and years ahead of anyone we have in the UK. In the end I chose Suporn and am very pleased with the results. I have had little pain and a rapid recovery.

Unfortunately many patients feel the need to elevate their surgeon and belittle others so that objective information is very difficult to come by. This just makes it more difficult for others to make a good choice. Even the best surgeons including both Brassard and Suporn have complications but thankfully most of them are minor.

We are all unique and in the end you really have to make what choice you feel is the best choice for your personal circumstances.

Well, I'm going to Brassard, personally. I've seen a couple of pics on line, but it seems to be hard to find good ones. I've seen post-op results several times.

My friend, who just got back from Montreal a month ago showed me hers -- it looks pretty good, even if it's not completely healed. My jaw dropped, and I said "damn, girl, that's going to turn out great." And it actually looked decent. I couldn't believe the lack of scaring. I've seen two others post-op a year, and they were just as amazing.

Oh, as for the pix on Anne Lawrence site, seeing it in person vs those pix... in person is better. Some of them look pretty odd, which had my worried until I actually saw the results in person, and was going wow like crazy. (I swear she found some really bad pix and put them in the mix for some reason.)

Actually, Susan's Wiki has a pretty good example of Brassard's work: https://www.susans.org/wiki/Penile_inversion

I had my surgery with Dr Brassard at the end of January. Four months later, I'm very pleased with the way things are healing up.
