SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ― A statue of San Francisco's first gay supervisor is going to be unveiled during a gala party at City Hall this month.

The project to place the memorial of former Supervisor Harvey Milk is a joint undertaking between the Harvey Milk City Hall Memorial Committee and the San Francisco Arts Commission.

Its almost a shame to put it in City Hall, it should be, like he was, out in the streets with the people.  The movie should be pretty cool when it comes out with Sean Penn as Harvey, it was fun trying to recreate the original gay freedom day, lots of people got to be 'gay for a day for pay' as it were.
